It's not often I inject humor onto this blog, but this seems timely.
[VIDEO] In spite of the fact that The Onion's bid for Alex Jones' company was effectively rejected by a court once a judgement against Jones for his statements regarding Sandy Hook, this video seems very timely with President Trump's ongoing singing of executive orders.
Granted the U.S. Senate is plenty busy with confirmation hearings right now, but what does both houses have to do right now. I'm not seeing nor hearing much action out of either of them right now.
[VIDEO] The Democratic Nat'l Convention is over, however, now we get to watch Walsh's stellar trolling posing as an alias - the alias featured in his coming documentary Am I Racist?.
In the movie after getting kicked out of a white privilege support group he changes his appearance and becomes a character more fitting to inflitration some of these groups. Even was able to interview Robin DiAngelo author of the book White Fagility. What was his point with this movie? To expose anti-white racism perhaps the fraud that of anti-racism that really singles out a particular race.
Walsh however is somehow exposed and the Dems who know this persona and about him want him removed from their spaces. In the same way they wanted him removed in his documentary from that "support group".
Even was able to get former CNN anchor Don Lemon to promoted the troll site project2025.com. Oh Walsh you have some major balls for this...
[VIDEO] This is funny and I admire this guy's spirit. He has a right-wing store in California and we see the reaction of those people who don't like it.
It starts off with someone looking for a Biden flag and it ends with the owner showing a Fcuk Biden flag. 🤣🤣🤣
You know what how many people display signs or flags with Fcuk Bush or Fcuk Trump. One creative one I had seen once-upon-a-time was Buck Fush....
Anyway if you like what you see support this man at Beachin Seal Beach before some unhinged California leftist actually does shut him down.
[VIDEO] Pure fact the Gutfeld show on FOX News Channel is a much more popular show than true late nite talk programs like Late Show with Stephen Colbert or even Tonight with Jimmy Fallon. This is more of a political panel talk that has political satire within and has often been a joy to watch as Greg Gutfeld has hosted similar shows from Red Eye to even the immediate predecessor to his current program The Greg Gutfeld Show.
Every show starts with a monologue which features heavy news content and he starts off with discussing the fact that Democrat/liberal/left want to only date people who hold their same beliefs. It makes the most sense but I think what Gutfeld is going for here is how close minded some people are towards people with a different set of beliefs. It could beg the question on my end would a very ardent Democrat/progressive/liberal/left would consider dating me a Black conservative?
Perhaps when you answer the statement wokeism relies on this, perhaps the end of the sentence could be relies on strict adherence to ideology in all aspects of one's life.
[VIDEO] I think this is one of those man on the street phony petition segments from one Mark Dice, who even stayed in character when a guy who recognized him dapped him and stated "Newsom sucks". People were willing to sing this petition and you know what I don't really have to determine if this is a real proposal.
When you think about it President Brando.....Biden wanted to impose a vax mandate on companies over 100 employees. Then you have a comedian like Jimmy Kimmel - who I used to love on The Man Show - who believes vaccinated patients should be favored over the unvaccinated.
A few young women who were cadets at West Point were interviewed on Hannity last week talking about how the people who run the US Military Academy referred to them as diseased only because they weren't vaxxed. Just shows how are society has become with regards to this pandemic.
We were funny about social distancing and then were were funny about masking. Now we're getting funny about vaccinations. You're not allowed to participate in our society if you're not vaxxed.
Again I'm not anti-vax, it's up to you if you feel this is necessary and always talk to your doctors if you have any concerns. I would expect they know you better than I would. I'm just tired of the extremes with regards to this that I have been seeing in the news.
[VIDEO] Sadly I don't subscribe to Netflix but anytime you trigger the progressive left liberals and their illogic it's a victory. Dave Chappelle it seems has just done that as Liberal Hivemind documents. The illogic has to be challenged because right now it seems to be winning.
If this illogic has its way, we won't even have comedy. You'll get to the point that nothing is worth making fun of.
Oh I do miss the Chappelle show from Comedy Central, and yes I'm going back about 20 years here.
[VIDEO] One of Dice's phony petition drives to remove the border wall that was largely former president Donald Trump's primary project from his term. Quite a few people were willing to sign that petition including one Black guy who declared say no more when he signed it.
A lot of these people were short-sighted in signing this. The Black guy seemed to hate Trump more than he cared about illegal immigration. A lot of people just had very little thought about it and signed the petition.
The thought process isn't much different than college students thinking that the U.S. Constitution is outdated because it was written by a bunch of dead old white men.
You might have seen my twitter feed the last few days which aside from commenting on WWE SmackDown I just found nothing but images of Vice President Kamala Harris' horrible selfie cookies. Well I won't wast space on this blog on those cookies which just looks like her facial features were melted flat.
What I will do is share a couple of memes that shows her cookie image. They're an improvement and I'm sure will make you laugh as most of those memes over at Power Line made me laugh.
Actually I think this above one is the most fitting considering what this cookie is related to. I'm sure this question will continue to come up...
Well the cookie goes from non-player character to Edvard Munch's The Scream. I think if you believe that the Vice President is fake then the NPC image would definitely work. Hilarious!
[VIDEO] I'd laugh if Mr. Beast sees this and somehow I get clicks on my ads. :P
This is indicative of some of the stunts that Mr. Beast does. He's very young and years before being a YouTuber became a thing he realized his dream. Among other things he's known for just giving away money at random as he does here.
He's opened a free restaurant where he serves burgers, money and other prizes. Although I don't think he likes it if you attempt to solicit money from him. You have to win it the old fashioned way or just subscribe to his channel.
Also this from Ninth Ward Chicago which also has ads. A reminder that people should be able to eat. I admire him for donating food to his local food banks.
[VIDEO] I might have been too young for SNL back then, but it's possible I saw this sketch just about 30 years ago. Rob Lowe satirized Arsenio Hall with this Arsenio Beckman character. My view of this sketch is that it's very funny and satirizes the phenomenon of the Arsenio Hall Show.
On the other hand in this more serious PC society we got people calling this sketch blackface. One way to look at that is Arsenio Beckman is the white version of Arsenio Hall. Lowe is doing his best Arsenio Hall impersonation. However, this whole sketch was over the top which makes it funny.
Just Beckman's imitation of Arsenio Hall's mannerisms. The over the top reaction of the audience. A general portrayal of the hip party vibe of the Arsenio Hall Show. It brings back memories and this sketch is funny, I think just viewing this as nothing more than a blackface sketch is really missing the point of the satire of a pop culture moment.
BTW, I hear that Arsenio Hall back then thought this sketch was funny and even had Rob Lowe on his show one or twice after this.
[VIDEO] You're going to have to watch the video to see who he votes for. With that said if you've been watching his videos over the years you shouldn't be too surprised. Especially if you've watched another video he shared from earlier this past summer about "systemic racism"
I do get the sense, however, that politics isn't his forte. That as part of his appeal he doesn't always talk politics or social issues. In one of his videos many years ago he does approach covering the 2016 election and the inauguration of Donald Trump as President. He wasn't happy but wants to maintain his fanbase whether they're Republican or Democrat.
Regardless he expresses how not very happy about the state of American politics currently. Many weren't that happy in 2016 with who's running. And of course many aren't happy who's running in 2020 either and one of the people running is an incumbent.
The hat Neistat shows is hilarious and to be honest I wouldn't mind being caught wearing it. I can only imagine the looks once people read what it says. However, if they didn't care what it says it'll be just another Make America Great Again hat.
Perhaps I'll show you the hat like the hat you see in the above vid that I would really like to wear.
Boyce Watkins plays himself as level headed and calm not even upset over the idea of another Black person who supports President Trump. Since its upsetting to some people even since 2017 let me say that again PRESIDENT TRUMP. Of course Watkins also plays the over emotional character upset that a Black person would support a person who they believe is a racist.
So again in order to get people to fall in line the use of fear is in play. Make the other person fearful that someone is a racist and thus vote for the other guy as the alternative.
Of course while Watkins might say that both Trump and Biden are racists, he might not be upset that another Black is supporting Trump vs. Biden. My read on him is that he tries to call it right down the middle regardless although he will see it according to what will advance the interests of Black people. Does voting for one party almost exclusively vs the other advance the interests of Blacks?
[VIDEO] I'm old enough to remember Benny Hill, he was an British comedian whose TV programs often syndicated here in America caught my eye by the chases where the chases were often sped up. I think I was too young to be watching it, but as a child the sped up chases was very hilarious and it was a minute before I realized I couldn't run like that.
Here's a good one that I found recently just to inject some humor onto this blog. Hill plays some Michael Moore wannabe - well likely before there was a Michael Moore - whining about some rich person at their massive country estate. A homeless man comes up while he's talking and cameras are rolling trying to beg.
Think about this for a second, a socialist wants to tax the wealthy and they have an opportunity in their own way to help a homeless man who seeks money. What do you think will happen?
I want you all to know if I ever come into a significant sum of money here's my solution. Everyone needs to eat at the very least. It's one of those human needs that aren't going away.
BTW, this clip is said to be in 1989 and while I did say that Benny Hill was playing some Michael Moore type before there was a Michael Moore. I do believe his breakout film Roger & Me came out in 1989.
Gavin Newsom, governor of the state with the highest people-to-electricity ratio in the nation, banned gasoline cars yesterday via executive order. The order takes effect in 2035, meaning by that time, everyone in the state with no electricity will only be able to plug in their cars to the power grid that does not work.
"Everyone, plug in those cars!" Newsom said proudly in a room lit only by candlelight, since, you know, the whole electricity thing. "Other states run on backward, outdated fossil fuels. We are the state of the future, so we will run solely on electricity. Which, you know, we're working on. We could have power by 2035. You never know."
There was an awkward silence.
"SCIENCE!" Newsom said, regaining his momentum and drawing applause from the reporters gathered.
As part of Climate Week 2020, California Governor Newsom today issued an executive order declaring the goal of eliminating fossil fuels from transportation, a sector that produces half of California’s toxic and greenhouse gas emissions. The order calls for ending all sales of new fossil-fuel-powered vehicles in the next fifteen years, and calls on various state agencies to begin formulating regulations and strategies, and identifying actions and investments, to create a “just transition” away from reliance on fossil fuels.
While it set goals – which Newsom acknowledged “are nothing more than dreams with deadlines” – the executive order leaves the details to be worked out by agencies equipped to do so. For example, the Air Resources Board is tasked with developing regulations and strategies to reach the zero-emission goals.
According to Steve Berberich, CEO and President of the Cal ISO, there are three reasons that the state is seeing the rolling blackouts now. One reason: Abnormally high heat.
“I challenge the notion that this is normal summer heat,” Berberich said. “We haven’t seen heat like this since 2006. And in fact, Death Valley, a day or two ago, had the highest recorded temperature on Earth at 130 degrees.”
Another reason for the blackouts is the entire Western United States is seeing higher temperatures, which makes it difficult for California to import power.
Lastly, Berberich said California has fewer resources for power with coal power plants going offline.
I read somewhere that California is a trendsetter, sadly a trendsetter for bad policies...
[VIDEO] I don't know who Ricky Rebel is, however, this music video is just delightful. Just when you thought this video was going to degenerate into yet another riot where someone from the loony left aka antifa or BLM just decided they don't like someone so they assault them, it turns into a good hearted music video. I just had to watch this all the way through...
It lets you know who really wants chaos in the streets and it's not Trump supporters or any Republican who's tired of the rioting. The people who want to be on the side of social justice forgot about the successes of the Civil Rights Movement which was made with peaceful protest.
So you can try to act they way BLM is trying to act in Rochester, New York - going into residential neighborhoods and tresspassing onto property over some lethal incident that happened months ago or going into a restaurant chasing away people enjoying their meals and smashing dishes. All you're going to do with that activity is cause people to turn away from you. It won't end well in the long run...
[VIDEO] Remember Biff Tannen from the Back to the Future franchise? The bully of Marty McFly's father who as it turns out with the help of time travel became less of a bully towards his father?
The man who played Biff - Tom Wilson - has his own YouTube channel where he does "vlogs" about various aspects of his life and career. He starts off by making light of this pandemic noting his master plan. I have to get over the fact that he's aged since the mid to late 1980s. And starts off noting that he had dyed his hair gray so that he can play parts in commercials geared for the elderly.
Pretty funny stuff but he goes from that parody to going on set and later explaining that he hoped to have these videos for his descendents. Though I hope you were entertained by this episode.
[VIDEO] The idea of this is impractical but the construction and demonstration of this isolation is entertaining to watch. Would you want to ride out the pandemic in this thing?
[VIDEO] I've slipped on my consumption of Mark Dice vids. He talks about the publicity surrounding Dave Chappelle's latest stand-up comedy special. He contrasts Chappelle's comedy with what's going on in comedy today. Too many have gone political and comedians as artists have to toe the line between what's politically correct.
I'm glad I'm not a comedian now.
BTW, this will always be my favorite recent piece with Dave Chappelle. It just shows what he's up against now... [VIDEO]
[VIDEO] On the heels of my recent post regarding the Montreal screwjob and we're less than a week away from WrestleMania here's an hilarious segment from the HBO talk show Last Week Tonight. I got wind of it from a coworker recently and had been hearing about it online as of late through my usual pro-wrestling sources especially on YouTube and finally decided to check it out.
My response to my coworkers were harsh as I often assumed they were talking about not very well known talent. Then I see Jake "the Snake" Roberts depending upon the kindness of his fans for a needed surgery. Though it does underscore my point that these wrestlers as athletes and entertainers have to work very hard to take care of themselves. But then easy said...
Pro wrestlers especially the world famous superstars of the WWE are considered independent contractors. I'm not going to get into the legality of this, however, this distinction allows WWE and other promotions to avoid having to provide their performers benefits. Benefits that even I as a worker take for granted such as health insurance, 401K, even paid time off. Wrestlers seem to perform 365 with few breaks, of course that's not to say they don't take time off and hopefully it won't be because of injury.
A lot of these wrestlers once they retire die young. They noted a few high profile wrestlers who died such as Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, King Kong Bundy whom all died in their 50s or 60s. You will see in the above clip that Piper predicted accurately that he wouldn't make it to 65.
WWE is a company that made close to $1 billion as you see in the above clip. And aside from their regular pay per their contracts no other guarantees other than the dates they work. The performers as Piper states do get a wonderful entrance plan however not an exit plan. I would expect the wrestlers who truly plan for their futures outside of the business will often find a way.
Then again could a publicly traded corporation as WWE do a better job of taking care of their past and present performers? It's noted that some progress has been made to better protect the wrestlers from chairshots to the head and more concerns about concussions. However, perhaps WWE could allow their perfomers some benefits, especially as far as their health care.
BTW, I'm glad to be one of many passionate fans of the WWE Universe. I'm glad the fans stepped up to the plate when wrestlers request a little help for their own medical expenses. It just goes to show we appreciate their efforts to entertain us and we hope that companies like WWE will better take care of them in the future.
Finally, I've generally avoided late night comedy in recent years especially during the Trump era. I want to be entertained not subjected to diatribes with regards to a politician they're opposed to. A good job directed towards anyone in the political establishment goes a long way. However this piece is refreshing and at times had me rolling. It was serious but we're still talking about a comedy show, perhaps there are times when current events and humor can sometimes converge. This is one of them and consider the outrageous activies on Raw or SmackDown which lends itself to the humor of this segment.
[VIDEO] Been years since I've seen this film. I was horrified when I first saw this film at even a humorous idea of a nuclear-power bus. Now looking at recent clips of The Big Bus beyond this trailer, I just can't take this movie.
The odd subplots a fallen veterinarian, a man with a terminal illness, a couple about to divorce, a pastor who lost his way, a bus driver accused of cannibalism, and that's probably not have of the subplots. The main plot is that an intercity bus company creates and builds a nuclear-powered bus for non-stop service between NYC and Denver. And this is seen as a threat to the oil industry.
You know this movie is absurd and is a cult classic. It probably wasn't very popular when it was first released but someone appreciates it now. For me, it's probably one of those movies I would think of as you're entertained and then you can forget about it later. I would put The Big Bus in that category, though just for old time sake this is one movie I would like to see one more time.
Hmmm, it's funny to see the stars that I know in this movie. Rene Auberjonois, Richard Mulligan, Joseph Bologna, Stockard Channing, and I just found out the late Larry Hagman is in this movie though probably in a bit part. These are names I would know today though one of those (Bologna) I know from this movie. The others were in far more well known productions years down the road Auberjonois I mostly know from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Mulligan was the star of series Empty Nest & Soap. Channing was on the series The West Wing.
