Timcast discusses Texas GOP calling for "secession"

[VIDEO] As Tim Pool discusses in the above video is the responses to the dismissal by the S.C.O.T.U.S. of the TX vs. PA lawsuit to overturn results in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Michigan. As I said last nite, it was very disheartening to hear the comments about taking up arms against the federal gov't or the republic is now dead. Just a very dim view of the future with a Biden/Harris administration holding the White House.

The most over the top response which is akin to taking up arms is a "civil war" or secession. Thankfully we're not essentially fight a war over slavery or over sectional issues. We seem very fractured politically and that's very unfortunate and likely heightened by the coronavirus pandemic. We probably were already there before that but it seems a lot of issues came out once our leaders decided on a course of mitigation efforts with stay at home orders, closing down "non-essential" businesses, etc.

I also want to share this with you as it pertains to this and I just retweeted this

Tim Pool also alluded to this states like Illinois are really red if you remove if not just Chicago, but the Chicagoland area. Rich Miller of CapFax has referred to ILL as deep purple. The rest of the state for the most part is solidly Republican and there was a map he posted to his blog that illustrated this. There is a marked different between just about 30 years ago vs 2020.

It's interesting to see two downstate Republicans Darin LaHood - the son of Obama's transportation secretary - and Mike Bost support this legal action. They are among those 106 Republican congressmen and women who supported this. Gov. Pritzker a Democrat had an issue with this denouncing our current President as a failed president.

Pritzker's quote:
“I think in the land of Lincoln, I think of Republicans and Democrats as being a lot more reasonable than the people who have followed Donald Trump down every rabbit hole,” Pritzker said. “I don’t know why they would sign on, except for apparently undying commitment and loyalty to a failed president.”

Also consider him and the mayor of Chicago congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris once they were declared the victors in the 2020 presidential race. Even as Trump has continued to fight the results.

And as always the people have spoken. Not too many comments to this but some people have expressed their feelings for the Governor

Well it might be over for Trump - and key word might - however, we got just about two years to prepare for 2022. The ones who might run against Pritzker should be getting ready next year to run against.

Republicans don't have anyone for Illinois Governor. Σ(ಠ_ಠ)(@_@)

Illinois is a Democratic state. Σ(ಠ_ಠ)(@_@)

You might not be wrong Eddie. Then again it's hard to see right now. It's hard to argue how much influence the Democrats have in this state right now.

It might be difficult for Texas to secede, but not impossible. It was a republic from 1836 to 1846.

Well, I think for now the Texas spirit still exists. That state is a growing boy, how many of them appreciate that TX was an independent republic?

Republican Party membership died in the 1930s, when President Herbert Hoover did nothing about the Great Depression (1929-1939). At that Congressperson Oscar Depriest (R-1, 1929-1935) was replaced by Arthur Mitchell and then Bill Dawson. (@_@)

I think Dawson was at one point a Republican until he switched sides which happens of course. I could be wrong on that, read it somewhere.

Eddie said...

Dawson switched, because Democratics had patronage, while Republicans didn't. Give people jobs then, you control their votes. Σ(ಠ_ಠ)

Mayor William Hale Thompson was the last Republican Mayor (1915-1923) and (1927-1931). Bernard Epton came close in 1983, but that was racial against Harold Washington. ಠ︵ಠ

Big Bill Thompson was also the mob's mayor and I hope any future Republican who runs for mayor of Chicago wouldn't cite him as an example they want to follow. ;)

And yes patronage was huge in Chicago, probably still is to a lesser extent.

Eddie said...

There's less patronage, because of the Shakman Decree. Republicans don't bother running for mayor anymore. (@_@)

The mob seems to be gone now. Cicero, Melrose Park, Chicago (Galewood) are no longer Italian strongholds. ಠ﹏ಠ

I never connected Thompson to the mob, but you're right. ಠ︵ಠ

Oh yeah Eddie Bill Thompson was considered Al Capone's mayor. Not sure to what extent, however, Thompson was said to be quite corrupt. Then again we got a number of plaques around downtown at least that shows all the public works created during his period in office

The Republicans don't want Blacks, especially in the South. They have various schemes to suppress our votes. Σ(ಠ_ಠ)

Levois said...

Eddie, what makes you say that? Any legit examples of this suppression?

Eddie said...

Levois, I just follow what the media says, because I'm not there. ಠ︵ಠ

There was Brian Kemp vs. Stacy Abrahams for governor. ಠ︵ಠ

Levois said...

I think Stacey Abrams a Spelman sister has more than made up for what happened in 2018 with whatever regularities took place. She used that experience in 2020 and she may well use that experience in 2022.

There have been many articles on voter suppression, vote fraud.

Jesse Jackson has a column 12-14-20 on Georgia vote fraud. ಠ﹏ಠ
