A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. As far as the State of Illinois the right to bear arms within the Bill of Rights in Illinois' State constitution
SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. (Source: Illinois Constitution.)BTW, if you're from Illinois here's a page courtesy of the Illinois State Police with regards to getting a FOID (firearm owners identification card) & a conceal carry permit.
ALSO, if you so choose check out the constitutions of the other states and/or US territories/commonwealths. They may have different languages as far as freedom of speech or right to bear arms.
