First came Tucker Carlson’s long interview with Hunter Biden, in which Hunter said he has no recollection of dropping a laptop off at a Delaware repair shop. Then came Ben Shapiro’s sharp reaction, mocking the two men as “silver spoon rich kids” complaining about elites while floating contested claims about the laptop’s origins.
Now the man at the center of the original repair-shop story has answered.
On Thursday morning, John Paul Mac Isaac appeared on the PBD Podcast.
On Monday, Tucker Carlson posted a more than two-hour interview with Hunter Biden. Hunter is the son of the 46th P.O.T.U.S., Joe Biden, and for years he has been known mainly as the addict son who somehow left a laptop in a computer repair shop.
A few years ago this would have raised my eyebrows. Tucker was clearly on a different side then. The idea of him sitting down for a long, largely civil conversation with Hunter Biden would have surprised me. Now it doesn’t. The interview still got my attention, but for different reasons.
To be honest, I never thought much about the laptop story beyond what it seemed to show about control—or the lack of it—around President Biden. I’m not interested in piling on the former president. He is very ill; reports say his cancer has spread to his bones. That said, I do believe his one term was rough on the country, and we are still dealing with the consequences. Even so, I have never fully understood the lasting significance people attach to Hunter’s laptop.
There are two sides to every story. That is why I am sharing the interview. Below is the video, followed by a short synopsis of the points that stood out.
If you're tired of recycled punditry on cable news or endless hot takes on social media, channels like The Narrative with Will Sexton stand out. Will Sexton delivers structured, big-picture analysis on politics, culture, and power without sensationalism or partisan cheerleading. He zeros in on institutions, incentives, funding flows, and historical context—connecting dots that many overlook or avoid. His clear, sourced, and thoughtful style makes the channel worth following for anyone trying to make sense of why American politics feels like it's shifting under our feet.
In his recent video, "The Political Realignment Nobody Saw Coming | How Woke Failed," Sexton traces the arc of the last decade: the rapid rise of progressive cultural dominance after 2020, the money and machinery behind it, and why that era is visibly unraveling now.
I'm sorry to not have written a whole lot on this blog after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and all the developments during the Republican nat'l convention to now.
We can start with Trump has a running mate US Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH). And the Dems with their own changes since the Republican convention had started referring to him as "weird".
Pres. Joe Biden dropped out of his re-election campaign after the GOP Nat'l Convention. It's very likely almost certain that his Vice President Kamala Harris will replace Pres. Biden at the top of the Democrat ticket.
VP Harris will soon appoint her own running mate and one candidate under consideration is my Governor J.B. Pritzker. The Democrat nat'l convention is coming to Chicago this month and most are predicting it will be chaotic inside and outside.
Other possible candidates for the Democrat nomination for Vice President include Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA), Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY), Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN).
Mark Dice did a video about this recently. VP Harris did a rally in ATL this week and one of the acts that were there were Megan the Stallion and her entourage. Megan was probably the draw to this rally that appeared to be very packed. [VIDEO]
BTW, nice dig from Dice as they introduced the Vice President and it appears it was a moment before she got on stage. I will admit I have yet to see raw footage from the rally just to be sure how long it took for her to get onto stage.
VP Harris is being marketed as a "cultural icon". She's the best thing since sliced bread. And I already know how she could possibly attack Trump it's to utilize her identity as a woman or as a Jamaican-Indian. She's going to use her identity as a Woman of Color.
Nevermind that she's part of a horrible administration the Biden/Harris administration. Out of control inflation (grocery prices very high), a border crisis which has sent migrants to these blue sanctuary cities. And allow me to add VP Harris is the border tsar and they're trying to forward the narrative that she never was. Even if NBC News anchor Lester Holt tried to query her about going to the border and she just laughed awkwardly when he tried to press her.
I wanted to add this segment from Matt Walsh. How to counteract the use of celebrities by one side of the aisle in politics. [VIDEO]
A good answer is that you don't. Especially if this other celebrity doesn't have the reach that left-wing celebrities do. You can't play the game of, "hey look I got a rapper too".
You got to challenge these politicians on policy. That's the best way. However, my concern is that no one really thinks in term of policy. Can you really convince people to vote for you based on your policies?
I don't know. Most voters seem to make up their minds on candidates and there isn't a rhyme or reason. I might vote based on policy. I might vote based on who's running. As much as I wish people were with me on certain positions or candidates, in reality people do what they think makes the most sense to them.
Allow me to add, 2020 was such an odd year and thankfully we a far cry from the pandemic, the race riots err sorry civil unrest, the anxiety, being shut-in at home, kids not going to school, most of the economy shut down, etc. There were people who thought Trump needed to go in 2020, and yes we could say there was some cheating going on that enabled Joe Biden to be elected the 46th POTUS.
I'm a long way from saying that I know what's going to happen in November. Time will tell if VP Harris starts to implode in her attempt to become America's first female POTUS. Will this seemingly manufactured enthusiasm be sustained into November?
[VIDEO] Watching this documentary from Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire causes me to really dislike Kamala Harris. It did its job, discussing her rise to prominence from the girlfriend of a California political kingmaker to an assistant prosecutor to an elected prosecutor to the office of California Attorney General to the US Senate and then the Vice-Presidency.
She seemed to have "failed up" as opposed to floundering and fading into obscurity. Was it being a woman? Was it her biracial heritage being both Jamaican Black and Southeast Indian? Was it just plain luck that got her where she is now.
And some of her efforts to insure that she could get elected. Her strategy in California probably could be described as cynical. She was willing to seem tough on crime for her own success, however, what if she only followed the soft on crime dictates of the people who helped her get to the dance.
And then let's not forget her best soundbites against the man she serves with in Americas top offices the President & Vice-President. In a debate in 2020 she tried to use the race card, and again it's cynical because we learn that she lived in Canada and likely wasn't subjected to the racial issues of America.
Of course add to that her awkwardness and her disingenuousness. To be fair, if I've gone that high up it wouldn't be inconceivable that there would be some awkwardness on my end. As a politician however Vice-President Harris is terrible and you know what as far as past VPs go she really fits right in.
Other than recent VPs, how many do you remember from history? Other than her own historical footnotes - as the first woman & first woman of color as Vice-President - will anyone really remember VP Harris?
And there are some objections to this as you will see from this recent NBC Chicago article:
Morehouse College is set to announce that President Joe Biden will deliver its commencement address on May 19, but some faculty members have raised concerns about the decision, according to two people familiar with the matter and an email to faculty members reviewed by NBC News.
“This week, I received an inquiry from concerned faculty about rumors they were hearing about President Biden’s selection as the 2024 Commencement speaker,” Kendrick Brown, Morehouse College’s provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, wrote in the email to faculty members Friday.
Brown said he would convene a virtual meeting Thursday “to extend an opportunity for faculty with different perspectives on the selection of our Commencement speaker to ask questions and make comments.” He said students would also engage with college President David Thomas.
...
A Morehouse faculty member told NBC News administrators are believed to be concerned that faculty members will join students in protest of Biden during the ceremony.
The pushback against leadership’s decision comes amid increasing protests on college campuses over Biden’s support for Israel in its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The protests since the war began in October have already forced Biden, and other top administration officials, to dramatically scale back appearances at college campuses.
Ah, OK.
I don't believe President Joe Biden is particularly popular anyway. This will give the school necessary attention as probably happened when President Obama delivered his commencement address years ago.
However, with that conflict going on in Gaza, now I see why the protests. What's popular with students on college campuses is protesting in favor of the Palestinians and against the Israeli responses to Hamas' attacks.
[VIDEO] Mark Dice refers to this period as a cultural appropriation of the Jewish holiday Hanukkah. I'll leave it up to you if you think it's phony or something created out of nowhere by a criminal back during the 1960s. I'll also leave it up to you if we do have a fake president who is outright observing Kwanzaa via social media.
This in addition to talking about the next wave of people crossing the southern US border....
The most recent episode of Tucker Carlson on Twitter regarding President Joe Biden and the indictment of former President Donald Trump for possessing classified documents. Basically the federal gov't under President Biden effectively indicting his predecessor and possible 2024 election opponent Trump.
As another aside, Tucker starts off talking about a banner on FOX News which refers to Biden as a "wannabe dictator".
Now wait Tucker seems to be speaking up for FOX News. Why would the so-called liberal elite condemn FOX News for an errant banner and especially if it's just unimaginable and untrue that Biden is a wannabe dictator. The liberals err the left err the progressives hate FOX News anyway they're the opposition.
Nevermind that FOX News a network that is often associated with conservatism also celebrates Pride month themselves. Even internally as some of their prominent personalities speak out against inappropriate material in grade school classrooms or the push to allowing minors to medically transition genders.
[VIDEO] I haven't read too much on this particular issue. What I know about this is that the mgmt at Silicon Valley Bank seemed to have done a bad job of insuring they had enough money on hand to stay afloat. They also put a lot of money into investments that don't mature until years later, which also means well they still don't have enough money on hand for lending and deposits.
Of course if you follow Tucker or Glenn Beck they make this about the economy under Joe Biden. They make this about the wokeness that pervades the work culture at these banks. And of course back to the starting point that I made, the bank was mismanaged especially the money was mismanaged.
I think Dave Ramsey calls it down the middle. If you're worried about the banking system don't worry about it. It wasn't just Silicon Valley that failed it's also Signature Bank. He mainly puts the crisis in terms of both of these banks that what allowed them to collapse and be taken over by the Federal Gov't isn't very pervasive in other banks such as Chase. According to him so far the public still has faith in Chase and hopefully other banks.
Also I understand both of those banks I mentioned that failed mostly catered to tech industry startups. Alas another contribution to these failures may have been the cyclical nature of the tech industry. It seems solid but let's not forget they're prone to layoff and downturns also.
[VIDEO] Tucker Carlson in his monologue discusses the disaster that took place in East Palestine, Ohio recently. This incident is highlighting the incompetence of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigeg and indeed as Tucker attempts to explain the possible dismissal of the disruption to this predominantly Republican area.
I'm hoping for the best for that part of the nation. What health effects will come from the exposure to these toxic chemicals.
[VIDEO] Joe Biden the 46th President of the United States delivered his most recent speech on Tuesday. From what I heard he made some flubs, the ambassador from Ukraine, he couldn't even say her name. Well Biden is known to have had a speech impediment and his mind isn't what it used to be so it's possible he couldn't say it or he doesn't remember her name.
To go further, however, O'Reilly doesn't really say the speech was horrible. The President delivered a speech that taught nothing new about the "state of the union". It was a typical liberal Democrat speech, perhaps even spoke to the base who may still support the President.
Were there some dishonest moments and even some omissions, O'Reilly says so. The clips I've seen President Biden got no respect, he was heckled and laughed at occasionally. Especially when he talked about the fentanyl crisis, which was tied to the open border. No mention of the issues with regards to inflation.
I think some politicos such as O'Reilly made some comparisons between President Jimmy Carter - 39 POTUS - and President Biden. Carter knew his administration was in trouble and just think they had issues with energy and inflation. Under Carter gas lines were a thing people were waiting in line at a gas station and fuel prices went up.
Of course under Biden different situation and he mentioned this in his speech. If you believe the President is a puppet, the puppeteers don't want us to drive around in gas vehicles. So perhaps they want high fuel prices because they rather us use electric vehicles.
Regardless my point is that, Biden may not know he's in trouble. Everything in his world is just fine. Perhaps he may not even realize how many Democrats doesn't want him to be the nominee next year.
As you know before the New Year, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI had passed away and he's being memorialized that is in Vatican City his body is put on public display. You know I should just see what the plans are leading up to his funeral.
Anyway I found out earlier today that the late Pope Emeritus had requested that President Joe Biden - himself a Catholic - didn't want our current President to come to his funeral. And the President had an answer or perhaps a non-answer with regards to that.
"The reason I'm not attending the funeral tomorrow is it would take an entourage of a thousand people to show up," Biden said. "We would move everything in the wrong direction."
The president also said "we would just get in the way" and added that Pope Benedict XVI was a "fine man."
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday that the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, would be representing the U.S. at the funeral.
[VIDEO] Tim Pool on his IRL podcast discusses the retaliation against Elon Musk thanks to his release of information regarding the DNC and Biden campaign's collusion to censor right wing speech on his Twitter platform. Of course, back in 2020 Twitter was a publicly traded company before Musk took the platform private in 2022.
[VIDEO] I hope everyone has had a very joyous holiday - a week ago. Been just about a week since I last posted on this blog.
Anyway from this YouTube channel Let's Talk Elections we hear about the possibility that President Biden will run for re-election in 2024. Bear in mind that former President Trump has announced his bid for 2024. Now I don't take seriously the possibility that the 80-year-old Joe Biden running again or even being successful in his bid.
Of course, consider that in recent decades it's rare that a President stands down after only one term. President Lyndon Johnson got one term in his own right and decided to stand down, and remember Johnson became POTUS after the death of President John F. Kennedy. Beyond that incumbent presidents generally run for a second term.
With that said, Gavin Newsom according to this video who's doing such a bang up job as Governor of California had opted out of running for POTUS in 2024 standing behind Joe Biden.
In presidential politics, President Jimmy Carter was said to have been significantly weakened in his re-election bid after Sen. Ted Kennedy - younger brother President JFK - ran against him in the primaries of 1980s. Of course Carter owing to economic and the issue of the hostages in Iran lost his re-election bid to the Republican Ronald Reagan.
[VIDEO] If you don't want to watch if the GOP takes Congress after the midterm elections in two weeks and once installed in January that there will be increased pressure to force President Joe Biden to resign from office. I think Bill O'Reilly has been talking about it on No Spin News, the state of President Biden's cognitive ability and perhaps he even noted the possibility that he could resign the office due to health reasons. Remember Biden is approaching 80 and in the election we were concerned about his cognitive ability as he continued to sit in his basement in Delaware while President Donald Trump has to deal with the real issues plaguing America in 2020.
I thought O'Reilly was going to talk impeachment. Instead could Biden be forced to resign of course you know what that means we get that cackling fool Kamala Harris as the first female POTUS. While the progressive movement may well need a new champion and perhaps not the puppet that Biden has been that experiment has failed. I doubt V.P. Harris will be very effective.
The last two years of Joe Biden I expect will only pave the way for the return of the GOP to the White House, especially with possibly Donald John Trump as the 47th POTUS. Or perhaps the 48th if Harris succeeds to the President upon possibly the resignation of the current incumbent.
[VIDEO] So Bill O'Reilly noted this gaffe that I see even the White House Press Corps - especially the Biden friendly ones - couldn't ignore. An Indiana GOP Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was killed in a car crash in August and Biden cited her as part of a bipartisan group. He mistakenly asked if she was at an event only to mumble that she's not expected to be there.
I think it's understandable that the President might have forgotten or even slipped his mind somehow that Congresswoman Walorski is no longer with us. The bad news is that now it's become fodder for those of us who are concerned about whatever diminishing mental capacity that the President is experiencing. The questions were already there through the 2020 campaign to now.
Are these questions going to intensify?
Also lets not forget how did we get here, "NO MEAN TWEETS"
[VIDEO] I think I can get with Ben Shapiro's point in this piece. He views Obama as a celebrity President more than he was a politician. Obama was a celebrity or even a "messianic" figure who came to fundamentally transform the U.S.A. Because most of us fell for his charisma we did hoist so many expectations unto him, however, the results of this became bad public policy.
Of course from the celebrity of Obama came the celebrity of Donald Trump. After 8 years of Obama we got the populism of Trump. And now we got the "messianic" figure of Joe Biden except he's failing so much that Obama isn't treating his former Vice President the same way.
Remember earlier this year the President was trying to get his former President's attention and Obama just ignored the current President. Isn't that insane? It's almost like saying I'm more important and people like me more, so I just won't give you the time of day.
Perhaps we need to treat our political leaders as such, political leaders. Not as celebrities who want to be seen not on the cover of newsmagazines, but on the covers of more cultural magazines.
[VIDEO] His address on Thursday nite didn't go over well at all and while we could discuss his cognitive decline it's no surprise he just forgot about it. Better off pretending it didn't happen, sadly once something like this comes out it's hard to deny!
[VIDEO] I heard a little bit of this speech on Mark Levin on the radio. I got more commentary than his words and of course from Sky News down under you're getting a bit more commentary. The basic commentary was his speech was more dividing than anything more demonizing of the other half of the nation. It was designed to rile up his base, however, could this backfire and rile up the people whom he seems very dismssive?
