Scamala: Kamala Harris Unmasked with Ben Shapiro - Episode 1

[VIDEO] Watching this documentary from Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire causes me to really dislike Kamala Harris. It did its job, discussing her rise to prominence from the girlfriend of a California political kingmaker to an assistant prosecutor to an elected prosecutor to the office of California Attorney General to the US Senate and then the Vice-Presidency.

She seemed to have "failed up" as opposed to floundering and fading into obscurity. Was it being a woman? Was it her biracial heritage being both Jamaican Black and Southeast Indian? Was it just plain luck that got her where she is now.

And some of her efforts to insure that she could get elected. Her strategy in California probably could be described as cynical. She was willing to seem tough on crime for her own success, however,  what if she only followed the soft on crime dictates of the people who helped her get to the dance.

And then let's not forget her best soundbites against the man she serves with in Americas top offices the President & Vice-President. In a debate in 2020 she tried to use the race card, and again it's cynical because we learn that she lived in Canada and likely wasn't subjected to the racial issues of America.

Of course add to that her awkwardness and her disingenuousness. To be fair, if I've gone that high up it wouldn't be inconceivable that there would be some awkwardness on my end. As a politician however Vice-President Harris is terrible and you know what as far as past VPs go she really fits right in.

Other than recent VPs, how many do you remember from history? Other than her own historical footnotes - as the first woman & first woman of color as Vice-President - will anyone really remember VP Harris?

Larry Elder: What Does Making White People Kneel Have To Do With The Death Of George Floyd?

[VIDEO] Let me give you the short answer before you watch conservative radio personality Larry Elder - absolutely nothing unless you are a bully. Elder tackles the issue of police brutality and it's hunting season upon Blacks by police and he debunks that. He also tackles the idea of making whites kneel for fealty to Black Lives Matter.

Unfortunately this is a topic for good or for bad it brings out people's passion. The good is yes we should look at what police do in execution of their jobs. The bad is that a lot of people have staked their position on this issue and even in light of undisputed facts won't budge based upon sheer emotion.

Just consider the post I did over the weekend about the Emancipation Monument in Washington, DC.

Modern identity leftism will eat itself...

[VIDEO] What does this video explain? Basically the left eats it's own. We hear often about how the Democrats represent the working class or the left (liberals or progressives) represent the working class or the poor and instead they seem to represent something else.

Often it seems what the left advocates for is only identity politics. We have to respect different identities and groups and if we don't then expect to be attacked and shamed. Some of what is discussed in this video is quite convoluted and impractical and yet some SJW activist out there will get lost in a sea of offensiveness and sensitivity.

Another thing to be concerned about who are today's left/liberal/progressive activist speaking for? Are they speaking for the working class? Who do they really represent?

What's going on in America

I want to be honest and state that it wasn't easy for me to write this post. To start I will always state that the idea of "white supremacy" is always worth opposing as it's considered very abhorrent to the nation that we want. However, I consider how much of a dying idea it has been and isn't really worth what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Today my biggest concern isn't any resurgent white supremacist movement as it could be the groups whether we call them the "alt-left" or "antifa" who have pledged to oppose them. We're seeing extreme efforts to not trigger bad feelings in different groups for example ESPN pulled an announcer from a football game because of his name - an Asian man's name is similar to the name of a Confederate general in the Civil War. Even worse a mascot name of a California university resembled the name of a horse owned by this same Confederate general - OMG TRIGGERED.

Political correctness in this great nation is starting to become problematic and it's causing us to make some causations that aren't there. I may understand the protest of Confederate monumnets thanks to the popular idea that the Confederate States of America generally supports slavery. Changing names and holding against a man who in reality has no bone in the continuing observance of the Civil War is starting to go too far.

Another aspect of this is identity politics. Years ago Martin Luther King Jr made a nice speech about recognizing a person not for the color of his skin, but the content of his character. Unfortunately I'm seeing on social media posts about punching Nazis and even worse the person you punch may in fact not be a Nazi. Even worse still the people who pledge to fight racism instead think it's OK to castigate an entire race of people for crimes of centuries past.

With this in mind now I somewhat understand what set up Charlottesville. Unfortunately the white supremacists who attempted to rally in that Virginia town got their points made. And the "alt-left" and "antifa" movements are continuing their fight, what I have to figure out what is the end goal in using violent or disruptive tactics in a fight against racism.

Often when we see "antifa" in action - primarily through social media, FOX News, or even other alternative media - they're often wearing masks. They're fighting the good fight however they don't want to be seen. Another tactic they counter demonstrate, however, it's not because they disagree with an opposing point of view. On the contrary they find ways to demonize the other side.

To be honest I'm struggling to come up with a conclusion. So let me keep it simple demonizing an opposing viewpoint in a land with free speech is a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately if this has been something that has been going on for years Charlottesville has become the results.
