Mark Dice: The truth about Tulsi Gabbard's big revelation

 

[VIDEO] Well Mark Dice picks apart former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard's recent announcement that she's leaving the Democrat Party. Oh wait doesn't she have a podcast and she made that announcement on a podcast.

That said Dice also takes aim at those conservations who won't call wokeness or critical race theory for what it is "anti-whiteism". Better yet he calls out Kanye West and his "White Lives Matter" gimmick for what it is and states that it's sad that he sees it for what it is as opposed to the conservative establishment and the GOP.

I have to ask the question if "whiteness" is a scourge on our society and must be eliminated then what is the opposite of "whiteness"?

O'Reilly: The agenda behind Black victimhood

 

[VIDEO] I'm sure that there will be more to be said about the pandemic and the situation in Afghanistan right now it's a good time to switch gears.

We're going to hit up Bill O'Reilly again tonite by looking at his discussion on No Spin News with Blaze host Jason Whitlock. Whitlock is known as a sports guy for the most part, however, he has been known in recent years to appear primarily on right wing programming on FOX News and in this case on The First with Bill O'Reilly. They discuss the agenda of Black victimhood.

Some things I took away from the discussion. The left in this country wants to define Black people as nothing more than victims of a very flawed American experiment. Any Black accomplishments big or small are often dismissed so that Blacks can remain victims of America. The left wants Blacks to be victims to portray America as a very racist and oppressive nation and force fundamental changes to traditional America - socialism perhaps.

Another great point by Whitlock. Hip-hop/rap music is less about victimhood - the blues could be about victimhood but that's not a popular genre - it's about action. In Whitlock's words a pursuit of a financial rewards for victimizing someone else, well I mean often hip-hop/rap in some cases often talk about criminal activity. Most songs are never about oh woe is me.

When it comes to victimhood most of the action are on social media. If you don't virtue signal on social media then there can be a social price to be paid for your non-adherence to the orthodoxy of victimhood. In Whitlock's observation what works well on social media doesn't always work in the real world on the streets.

And although Rev. Warnock is projected to win the runoff...

 Profs argue Georgia runoffs are racist via Campus Reform.

Are you freakin' kidding me, my Morehouse Brother is projected to win over incumbent Republican Senator Kelly Loefler and this is coming out.

Morehouse College professor Adrienne Jones and Southern Methodist University professor Cal Jillson explained that the history of the Georgia runoff elections is racist in nature. When asked whether the modern runoff system is “undergirded in racist intent,” Jones noted that runoffs continue to be “difficult for black communities.”

In an interview with Boston’s NPR network, Jones reacted to an audio clip of a former state legislator who had lost his seat after the vote was split between himself, another White candidate, and a Black candidate. She said that his comments sounded like President Donald Trump’s phone call with the Georgia Secretary of State because Trump “couldn’t believe that he lost his race” and “demanded a recount.”

Jillson added that after the county unit system — which skewed voting power away from majority African-American regions and toward predominantly White regions of the state — was declared unconstitutional, Georgia added the runoff system.

He explained that this occurred as part of the trend of federal courts outlawing “various elements of the Jim Crow” electoral system, followed by state officials finding new ways to continue Jim Crow practices.

I think the runoffs have debunked this quite frankly but then who knows in these unprecedented times this might prove for those professors to be an exception.

I don't know if there has been any concessions, but with the issues that Georgia had in the 2020 presidential race hopefully we will see recounts which I believe is fair. 

"Silence is violence"

 Something I found on Instapundit just last night, something to consider

As a professor for over 35 years, I thought I had seen it all. I was wrong. Who would have thought that the first words of our Miranda rights, rights enjoyed even by suspected criminals, would no longer be something ordinary people could expect to enjoy from members of their own community?

Now it seems that a desire to keep one’s thoughts to oneself can be regarded as immoral because “Silence is Violence.” Increasingly, people who are minding their own business are being pressured to make politically correct proclamations while in public, at work, and, incredibly, even at school. This includes colleges and universities, where free speech and free thought are supposed to be cherished. These are very dangerous developments for any free society because they are inconsistent with freedom.

For many years there were calls against politically incorrect speech, things you were not supposed to say because they were deemed politically repugnant by some group.

Over time, especially on college campuses, this flipped into a duty to be politically correct. This is a much more onerous and destructive requirement that forces thought and speech. Too often, it also has the effect of shutting down independent thinking far more than a mere insistence against politically incorrect utterances.

Our society is now running in reverse, demanding conformity from adults that was once demanded only of children. Small wonder, then, why increasing political correctness has increasingly infantilized adults. What’s the point in thinking for yourself if it can only get you into trouble?

One of our greatest freedoms is the right to remain silent — to mind our own business. But today, some activists threaten shaming and even violence against those who don’t take the initiative to endorse what they deem to be politically correct.

Using fear to create some form of thought control. You don't hold a view that agrees with us, then you're immoral and should be cast out! 

We're seeing how destructive that thinking can become. 

What is originalism?

 Before I get to what I want to share with you we need to establish the term originalism. At a glance, it basically means interpreting the US Constitution ratified in 1789 as written. But let's go a tad deeper:

Originalism is the idea that we should interpret the Constitution with its original meaning. But what, exactly, is the Constitution’s “original meaning”?

Some originalists argue it’s the meaning as understood by those who ratified the Constitution in the various state conventions, or the public that elected those ratifiers. Others say it’s the understanding of a reasonable, well-educated reader. Still other scholars claim the Constitution is written in legal language and should be interpreted with its original “legal” meaning. With this approach, for example, the term “ex post facto laws” likely refers only to retroactive criminal laws, and not to all retroactive laws.

Although critics of originalism make much of these intraoriginalist squabbles, the reality is all of the above approaches usually lead to the same answer.

And then we go to a tweet from a man who defeated a Kennedy for a US Senate seat from their home state of Massachusetts who evidently doesn't like originalism:

Happy indigenous people day???

[VIDEO] Mark Dice talks about the liberal/progressive attacks on Thanksgiving.

I see they even want to rename Thanksgiving Indigenous People Day. Really? I thought that was to be the new name for Columbus Day which I wouldn't have a huge issue with. Get it together people what days do you want to rename we can't have multiple holidays with the moniker Indigenous People Day...

Anyway we should know from grade school the history of today's holiday. Pilgrims landed in New England (Plymouth Rock?) and had a feast with the Native American Indians at least to give thanks for those indigenous people helping those European colonists.

What's going on in America

I want to be honest and state that it wasn't easy for me to write this post. To start I will always state that the idea of "white supremacy" is always worth opposing as it's considered very abhorrent to the nation that we want. However, I consider how much of a dying idea it has been and isn't really worth what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Today my biggest concern isn't any resurgent white supremacist movement as it could be the groups whether we call them the "alt-left" or "antifa" who have pledged to oppose them. We're seeing extreme efforts to not trigger bad feelings in different groups for example ESPN pulled an announcer from a football game because of his name - an Asian man's name is similar to the name of a Confederate general in the Civil War. Even worse a mascot name of a California university resembled the name of a horse owned by this same Confederate general - OMG TRIGGERED.

Political correctness in this great nation is starting to become problematic and it's causing us to make some causations that aren't there. I may understand the protest of Confederate monumnets thanks to the popular idea that the Confederate States of America generally supports slavery. Changing names and holding against a man who in reality has no bone in the continuing observance of the Civil War is starting to go too far.

Another aspect of this is identity politics. Years ago Martin Luther King Jr made a nice speech about recognizing a person not for the color of his skin, but the content of his character. Unfortunately I'm seeing on social media posts about punching Nazis and even worse the person you punch may in fact not be a Nazi. Even worse still the people who pledge to fight racism instead think it's OK to castigate an entire race of people for crimes of centuries past.

With this in mind now I somewhat understand what set up Charlottesville. Unfortunately the white supremacists who attempted to rally in that Virginia town got their points made. And the "alt-left" and "antifa" movements are continuing their fight, what I have to figure out what is the end goal in using violent or disruptive tactics in a fight against racism.

Often when we see "antifa" in action - primarily through social media, FOX News, or even other alternative media - they're often wearing masks. They're fighting the good fight however they don't want to be seen. Another tactic they counter demonstrate, however, it's not because they disagree with an opposing point of view. On the contrary they find ways to demonize the other side.

To be honest I'm struggling to come up with a conclusion. So let me keep it simple demonizing an opposing viewpoint in a land with free speech is a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately if this has been something that has been going on for years Charlottesville has become the results.

It's time for "The Trump Effect"

[VIDEO] The Trump Effect : Deprogramming the American Mind is something I had put on the back burner since late last month posting it at "The Moleskine". Basically it's an hour of author/filmmaker Lawrence Jarvik (@LaurenceJarvik) talking about President Trump and how he's going to crack through the political correctness prevalent in this nation.

What I responded to most was the President's background. Trump is already independently wealthy, he comes from a construction business background, he also largely comes from a wealthy family and doesn't have to worry about where he's going to live because he's mostly lived in Trump properties. Jarvik sees these as positives in deprogramming the American mind. He was able to live his life individualistically without being restrained by having to please bosses.

Everything else, I had trouble grasping and it's possible that I need to be deprogrammed. Jarvik cites 9/11 as the start of this PC culture or at least it got far more intense, but as illustrated as you go through this vid political correctness has been around for years. Even worse it was probably found in other totalitarian regimes whether the Nazis or certainly in Communist regimes.

Another idea of note, Trump approaches issues and policies - not from an ideological approach - he approaches them from a realistic approach. That makes sense he is in real estate and you have to solve real problems of construction or maintenance so thus you realistically can solve the problem of structure or perhaps an hvac unit.

Perhaps in American politics the realistic approach is what is missing. With this in mind although I never voted for Trump last November, I can appreciate his unorthodox approach to the Presidency. Yeah he's certainly had plenty of rough bumps since taking office in January, however, some aspects of getting through the noise of the mainstream media (well "fake news") I certainly understand why he takes to twitter to send out his messages.

Great video, perhaps some of you will take something from this. BTW, Trump could be the inspiration for many in a variety of ways, perhaps many of us can start our own business empires and get wealthy, perhaps we can be more outspoken on some issues that we care about, perhaps we can seek out more of the truth on our own, or conversely discredit those who often tell lies. One thing we want to be careful about is that so far Trump can be Trump.

Trump can weather these attacks as far as his business dealings or even any allegations of sexual assault towards women. So far it doesn't matter, however, not all of us are made of kevlar or teflon. Bottom line if you do your own thing expect people to want to attack you because it's not what they would do!

Ah, be careful out there handing out pocket Constitutions...

[VIDEO] You got to love America. As noted in a write-up over at The Blaze no matter whether you believe in the constitution or not it protects your rights. In this case you will here in the video above a Black Panther supporter (that's my description) appear to threaten someone who supports and believes in the US Constitution.

Well, we now have a new concern about handing out this very important document. People won't just berate you but threaten you with physical violence. Of course, this wasn't just about the US Constitution it's actually about the group who's handing out the Constitution, Youth for Western Civilization. So the berating part comes when this group is already deemed by the people you see in this video as a "white-supremacist organization".

What about Shirley Sherrod

Been a while since we've heard from this Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion. He was all over the Blago saga when it started with his arrest and eventual removal from office. Unsure if he had actually followed the federal trial where Blago's defense team rested their case.

Today he discusses (link via Instapundit) another political matter on a more federal scale. A US Dept. of Agriculture official Shirley Sherrod was caught on tape relaying a story about how she didn't lift a finger to help a white farmer who was on the verge of losing his farm.

She became part of the saga between the left (or liberals or progressives) and the tea party crowd. Elements on the left wing wants to demonized the tea party as a group of racists. Unfortunately there is scant proof other than maybe one video of a "proud racist" attending a tea party rally. The video I saw on Glenn Beck showed him being berated by "teabaggers". In other words they didn't share this "gentleman's" racist values.

Still because they are opposed to our President, they are racist. They hold points of view that they disagree with and therefore that makes the tea party racist. I mean they're not saying anything different than what has been said about right-wingers (or conservatives) over the years.

Anyway because she was caught on tape talking about what happened over 20 years ago while she was at an NAACP event. She gets outed by Andrew Breitbart who said on Hannity that he had info about this tape in this emails since the spring.

I heard she was fired from her job, but in a press conference today was offered a job by the Secretary of Agriculture. Although she wasn't offered her original position. She was thrown under a bus only to still have a job with that agency.

Wow! What a hot potato!

Christian teacher lost her job after being told praying for sick girl 'was bullying'

WTF???

Olive Jones, 54, said she had been made to feel like a criminal, and claimed that Christians were being persecuted due to 'political correctness'.

Mrs Jones, who taught children not well enough to attend school, said that after she raised the topic of prayer during a visit to a 12-year-old's house, the girl's mother lodged a complaint.

Just hours later, said Mrs Jones, her boss told her she would no longer be working for Oak Hill Short Stay School and Tuition Service, in Nailsea, Somerset.

She said managers had ruled her comments could be perceived as 'bullying'.

Mrs Jones had told the girl and her mother that there were people praying for them. She said: 'I asked the child if I could pray for her. She looked at her mother, who said, "We come from a family who do not believe", so I did not pray.'

OK, how can praying be considered bullying. She at least respected the wishes of that family who aren't Christians. It's almost as if some people can't handle those who are religious. Sounds like a gross over reaction to me! Unfortunate!

Obama the chimp?

You know I often forget how people can be at times, hypersensitive about these type of things. It may even be that some people over react.

I can see how some people can see the symbolism. Racist people often think of blacks as apes and since blacks often equal apes then we have a police officer shooting at black/ape. Of course it doesn't help that the caption mentions this whole stimulus package that was signed into law this week.

Of course while people want to associate this photography with President Obama, it could be noted & said that Obama didn't write the stimulus. He largely did leave it up to Congress to determine what should be in there, even if he had his own ideas.


Anyway what do you think about this cartoon.

He even mentions the first white valedictorian at Morehouse College. I can agree with him on this one, being the first white guy to be a valedictorian at an HBCU isn't an achievement in and of itself. Although sure he achieved something as a valedictorian and that shouldn't be taken from him at all. What do you think?

Is "black hole" a racially insensitive term?

I don't think so, but it seems there are those who'll make something out of nothing.

There's a story out of Dallas where a pair of black public officials took offense to a white public official's use of black hole. I wonder what happens if they someone uses the term black hole in a scientific way instead of the abstract way used in this instance:

A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections "has become a black hole" because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud "Excuse me!" He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a "white hole."

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Some people need to get a grip!

When PC goes wrong

You're going to have to read this to believe it. I got a link to a story thru Brain-Terminal...

THERE'LL be no ho, ho, ho this Christmas. Aspiring Santas have been told not to use the term "ho" because it could be seen as derogatory to women.

Thirty trainees at a Santa course in Adelaide last month, held by recruitment company Westaff, were urged to replace the traditional festive greeting with "ha, ha, ha".

A Santa veteran of 11 years who attended the course told the Sunday Mail the trainer was very clear in spelling out no to "ho".

Two Santa hopefuls reportedly left the course after the trainer's edict.

The term "ho" is also American slang for a prostitute. "We were told it (ho) was a derogatory term for females and can upset people," said the Santa, who did not want to be identified publicly.

"As far as I'm concerned, a hoe is something you dig the ground with.

"I don't think you'll hear too many Santas saying `ha, ha, ha'."

I can assure you that saying "ho, ho, ho" in a Santa Claus suit is not going to conjure up any images of prostitutes or loose women. I'd like to know who comes up with this crap. Do people literally sit on their hands to come up with junk like this? I'd really like to know!
