Common Sense, Not Ideology

The New York Post ran this on Mayor Daniel Lurie’s interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.

The Sentence Is the Sentence

Last week I wrote about the attempted execution of convicted murderer Christa Pike. As of this writing she is still alive and appears to be doing fine. It was expected that she had suffered brain damage. Instead she is conscious and talking, according to reports.

Then another piece of news hit this week. President Trump approved the execution by firing squad of former U.S. Army officer Nidal Hasan. We also learn that Hasan’s execution will be live streamed.

Here's one news story about this: [VIDEO]

Alive After the Needle

This got my attention on Wednesday.

I am not for the death penalty. I also do not need a sermon to see what Christa Pike did in Knoxville in 1995. Those two things can sit in the same paragraph.

Tennessee tried to execute her at Riverbend. Courts spent the day opening and closing the door. The Sixth Circuit paused the warrant about an hour before the 10 a.m. time. The Supreme Court lifted that stay around 5:50 p.m. The state then ran the protocol late. Two syringes of pentobarbital. Witnesses heard her snoring with her mouth open. The curtains closed, opened, closed again. An ambulance left the prison. Governor Bill Lee froze the rest of the 2026 calendar and ordered a review. As I write this, she is alive.

If you never heard of the case, here is the short version. I asked Grok to summarize the crime.

The Clancy Holdout Answered

I just found this Jason Whitlock video. He shares clips from Fugitive TV, where Ray Marcel says he got the Black holdout juror from the Lindsay Clancy case on the phone.

Watch Whitlock here: [VIDEO]

The original call is on Fugitive TV. Marcel says the juror would not sit on camera. Watch that clip itself here: Fugitive TV.

There was another post on this case in the works. It has yet to be published. It may be shared at a later time.

This juror has been taking a beating since the Clancy mistrial. Over the weekend it became news that the holdout was Black.

Whitlock and Marcel both call him Michael. A last name was identified on X/Twitter before either video. The Boston Globe later printed his full name. The jury list remains impounded by order of the trial judge.

We hear things about him lying to the court on his own criminal charges. We hear attacks on his logic. Clancy’s defense attorney tried to kick him off the jury before the mistrial.

I already used Walsh for the hang. Sympathy is not a verdict. I am not walking that ground again.

Well, this juror has spoken. Whitlock is the analysis. Marcel is the call. He says he checked the box. He says he stayed on the children. A dismissed charge is not a verdict. Neither is the beating.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Sympathy Is Not a Verdict

Matt Walsh posted an instant reaction Friday afternoon to a hung jury in the Massachusetts trial of Lindsay Clancy.

Watch it here: [VIDEO]

The clip is not a tour of five weeks of testimony. Walsh’s argument is narrower. The only reason the case did not end in an acquittal, he says, is one holdout juror — a man, on a panel of nine women and three men — who would not join the others in finding Clancy not criminally responsible. Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, asked the judge to remove him, told a single justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court the juror was biased against people with mental illness, and invoked the Americans with Disabilities Act. The court said no. Outside, Reddington said the other eleven had been “robbed by one man.”

Walsh puts that next to the Derek Chauvin jury. In Minneapolis, he says, jurors ignored the law and convicted Chauvin of murder because he did not inspire sympathy — even after, in Walsh’s telling, they understood George Floyd had overdosed. Deliberations are treated as closed, so the verdict stood. In Plymouth the pressure ran the other way: eleven ready to excuse the killings, and a public effort to pry out the one who would not. Walsh’s larger claim is the Massachusetts rule itself. The killings are not in dispute. The Commonwealth still has to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she was criminally responsible. He thinks no one can prove another person’s mind that way. A mistrial, to him, is only a relative win. His close is that the insanity defense should not exist.

The case underneath the clip is simpler than the argument about it.

FBI Foils Alleged Assassination Plot on Trump at White House UFC Event

The FBI has disrupted an alleged terror plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House South Lawn this past Sunday — where President Trump was front and center celebrating his 80th birthday and America’s 250th anniversary.

What We Know So Far

Court records indicate the plan involved explosive-laden drones to trigger chaos and mass evacuation, steering crowds into sniper fire, with a follow-up assault on White House grounds. At least five people arrested, up to 23 allegedly involved. President Trump was listed among the high-value targets.

The suspects, driven by anti-government grievances, hoped to "jumpstart a revolution." Thankfully, authorities stopped it cold.

This marks another serious threat against President Trump since he took office in 2025, following an April 2026 incident where a gunman attempted to storm a White House press gala.

The Facts About Emmett Till According to Matt Walsh

CONTENT WARNING: This post discusses the 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till, including details of violence, alleged sexual assault, and related historical claims. Reader discretion is advised.

Matt Walsh recently released a short from The Matt Walsh Show that challenges the standard narrative around the 1955 killing of Emmett Till. This case has been treated as sacred history in American education and media for decades. Walsh argues that key details have been sanitized or altered over time for propaganda purposes.

Watch the clip here for the full context: [VIDEO]

The familiar story taught in schools goes like this: A 14-year-old Black boy from Chicago visits relatives in Money, Mississippi. He whistles at a white woman in a grocery store. She tells her husband a more serious version of events. The husband and his half-brother then abduct, torture, and murder the boy. The case becomes a catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement. Later, the woman (Carolyn Bryant Donham) supposedly recants and admits she lied about the encounter.

Walsh examines the original testimony, court records, and other sources to present a different picture.

The Breaking Point: Governments vs. Their Own People

The West is hitting a dangerous tipping point. Native citizens in countries like the UK are being pushed aside by policies that favor mass immigration from the third world, often at the expense of safety, culture, and basic fairness. Anti-white racism, demographic replacement, and elite contempt for everyday people are fueling growing unrest.

Karmelo Anthony Verdict: No Riots, Just Facts

Ben Shapiro’s latest episode examines the recent conviction of Karmelo Anthony and what it says about changing race relations in the U.S. A case that might have triggered widespread unrest in past years unfolded with relative calm. Here’s a clear breakdown of the facts and why this feels different.

The Case in Plain Terms

On April 2, 2025, at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony (now 19) fatally stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. Both were student-athletes—Anthony from Centennial High, Metcalf from Memorial High. A rain delay sent athletes seeking shelter under team tents.

Witness accounts indicate Metcalf and his twin brother asked Anthony to leave their school’s tent. Words were exchanged, followed by light pushing. Anthony reportedly said something like “Touch me and see what happens.” He then pulled a knife from his backpack and stabbed Metcalf in the chest. Metcalf was unarmed. Anthony claimed self-defense.

On June 9, 2026, a Collin County jury convicted Anthony of murder after brief deliberation. He received a 35-year sentence (eligible for parole after about 17 years). The self-defense claim was rejected.

Why Ben Shapiro Left L.A. – And Why the Rest of Us Should Pay Attention

Ben Shapiro just dropped a sharp, no-holds-barred video breaking down the mess that is modern Los Angeles. If you've ever wondered how one of America's most iconic cities turned into a cautionary tale, this clip nails it.

The Core Problem: Leadership Failure on Homelessness

Shapiro doesn't pull punches. He slams current leaders like Karen Bass and Nithya Raman for their handling of LA's homelessness crisis. Decades of progressive policies, massive spending, and feel-good rhetoric haven't fixed the streets — they've made them worse. Tents, trash, and human suffering now define parts of what was once a world-class city.

The numbers are staggering, the results embarrassing. Billions poured in, yet visible decline continues. Shapiro highlights how this isn't just a policy failure — it's a leadership one.

Enter Spencer Pratt: Using AI to Expose Reality

One of the most interesting angles? Reality TV star Spencer Pratt jumping into the mayoral race with viral AI-generated campaign ads. These ads cut through the noise by starkly showing the city's decay. No sugarcoating. Just raw visuals that force viewers to confront what's happened to Los Angeles.

Pratt's approach is refreshing in its directness. In a city drowning in spin, using modern tools like AI to tell uncomfortable truths stands out.

Nick Shirley on PBD Podcast

I wanted to share this PBD Podcast from New Years Eve 2025 feating Nick Shirley. He's gained significant attention for his independent journalism on the whole Somali fraud in Minnesota. This story has largely been shared primarily through the conservative personalities I've followed especially through the PBD Podcast.

I'll share more thoughts after this video, hopefully you'll be able to watch this 16 min. portion of Shirley's recent podcast. Feel free to watch the whole podcast here, it would be worth it. [VIDEO]

School superintendent resigns after being detained by ICE

Before sharing the recent news video from Des Moines, Iowa regarding the schools superintendent there.

I was shocked to hear he attempted to flee and was detained by ICE. It turns out he was not an American citizen, and it caused me to wonder how could this happen in of all places Iowa.

From what I've see so far it appears that soon to be former Superintendent Ian Roberts lied about his immigration status. And perhaps the folks at the Des Moines Public Schools had failed to adequately vet Mr. Roberts. This article from the Des Moines Register says the Des Moines schools had used an outside firm to vet him.

And reading that article further he seemed to have not be forthcoming about where he actually got his degrees. He misrepresented his doctoral degree at Maryland's Morgan State University although he later got his doctorate at a private for-profit university.

I just got to say this whole story was a mess. This is what happened yesterday in Des Moines. From the start we hear students had walked out in support of Mr. Roberts via this report from KCCI. Roberts had submitted his resignation. [VIDEO]

I have to say, the immigration issue is a charged issue right now. There's no middle ground here so perhaps I shouldn't be too surprised if there are people who want to support Mr. Roberts.

However, where I stop at is the fact that he misrepresented his citizenship and his academic record. That really bothers me and I wonder if the people who are supporting him actually realize how he arrived in this position.

My position is to point the finger at him as much as I would at the school district who hired him.

Charlie Kirk R.I.P.

My next post tomorrow shares a video regarding 9/11 as we approach the 24th anniversary of that very sad event in American history.

Then something tragic happened today out of Utah. Charlie Kirk - consevative activist - was about to debate on a college campus about gun rights was shot in the neck. Allegedly I hear he was shot by a sniper, and I would liken this to what happened with Donald Trump in Pennsylvania during the 2024 campaign.

I see some people are celebrating on social media and those are evil people. Some people are using his own words about the 2nd amendment against him.

We can only speculate, but by Kirk's supporters his death is being termed an assassination. And we're living in volatile times were it seems political discourse can quickly escalate to violence.

I'm just very sorry that he's not with us at the age of 31. I didn't really follow him but am aware of him, perhaps now is the time to look up some of his discourse. Agree or don't agree he was a husband, father, brother, and a son.

I hope they catch the person who killed him.

I really liked this pic that I found of him on IG.

Tucker: This Is Why Your Cities Have Become More Dangerous

In sharing this with you all, I wanted to remind you that an anniversary is coming up. George Floyd's death at the hands of Minneapolis Police five years ago. It touched off a very chaotic period in American cities and eventually moved around the world.

The civil unrest that took place around the country in the wake of Floyd's death happened during the pandemic as the world began to sort of open up after a time of mitigation efforts. My belief is that this wouldn't have been as problematic if people weren't largely isolated in their homes in an effort to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

Harmeet Dhillion is currently the head of the Civil Rights Division in the Trump administration. And she discusses why American cities had become very unsafe and she often cites these federal consent decrees. You can watch below and once you see her speak with Tucker Carlson I will have more thoughts. [VIDEO]

Dhillon notes the Ferguson effect, which is probably reference to what happened there with Michael Brown. The issue she discusses is how in some of these cities police officers are forced to write reports which keeps them from policing. And she notes how many officers instead choose to leave the police force for good or they may opt to go somewhere that allows them to actually police. She even note that the edicts often come down from the federal gov't and those who oversee these decrees may have very little experience with policing.

In most recent news, we've learned that the Minneapolis and Louisville police departments have had consent decrees lifted from the federal gov't. As you may know in Louisville, KY there was a young lady named Breonna Taylor who sadly was shot to death in a police raid.

While protests regarding her were not as widespread as Floyd, there were a lot of people I saw as passionate about her case as well.

Glenn Beck: How difficult was Oswald's shot at JFK?

[VIDEO] I haven't read too much in it so far, however, Glenn Beck is discussing the fallout from the release of files regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. Anyone here see the files? What revelations caught your eye?

Trump was shot yesterday at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania

[VIDEO] Thankfully it was a graze wound to his hear. There are photographs of the bullet that grazed him as he was at the podium speaking. The suspect himself was killed by authorities.

I'm glad certain politicians from President Biden, VP Harris, former President Obama, former Speaker Pelosi, US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had put out statements that had effectively condemned this act. We could nitpick over what was said or who said what when, but I don't have time to do that now.

Thankfully Trump was whisked away from the rally and another person at the rally was killed. There two other rallygoers who were critically injured. Amazingly this was caught live on TV, in fact I saw a clip of it via PBD Podcast (in an Emergency Podcast) which showed the rally as it aired on C-Span of all places.

Act of political violence? Well Donald Trump is a controversial figure without a doubt and I consider the reckless rhetoric against him. There were violent displays out there directed towards former President Trump and less use the graphic example of "comedienne" Kathy Griffin holding President Trump's bloody head in a photoshoot during his presidency.

I'd say today we're still in a time of unrest and while we're a long way from that crazy year 2020, it seems things haven't returned to normal since the pandemic.

It's crazy that I'm getting most of the news regarding this assassination attempt from Australia's Sky News which seems even more right-wing than FOX News.

Here's hoping we don't see anymore of this before the Presidential Elections in November or even after.

O.J. Simpson

Earlier in the past week, the public found out that former football legend & accused double murderer O.J. Simpson had passed away from cancer. The first time I heard about it, I was watching the PBD Podcast while he was speaking with former ESPN personality Sage Steele.

In posts like this it's customary for me to at R.I.P. however in light of his infamy I'm avoiding that. For me, I'm taking no position on whether or not he committed the murder. In my own head a jury of his peers judged him to be not guilty in the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her buddy Ron Goldman.

We could debate - well if it really is a "debate" - whether or not O.J. was guilty of this gruesome murder. IMHO, if he did commit the murder I feel as if his life had unravelled in ways that may signal that perhaps he was part of that. I look at his most recent conviction where he had been sent to prison for robbery in Nevada between 2007 and 2013 when he was released.

On Ben Shapiro they showed clips of him from an interview that never aired on FOX. He discusses in some real detail the murder - I see it was involving his book If I Did It - and his detail seemed too real even if he did call it hypothetical. I see a man who really has difficulty processing what he had done. Another clip showed him joking using a banana like a knife stabbing into the air and mocking the music to the classic film Psycho. Again this just seems like a man unraveling.

Everyone is different for sure, however, killing another human being should take it's toll on anyone. My hope is that if he truly did the crime that at the time of his death he prayed for forgiveness. And however his life unravelled I just hope the first thing that weighed on him was guilt!

When this whole story took place I was still in grade school and making the transition to my high school years. The trial finally concluded during my high school years when my French teacher rolled a TV into the classroom so that we could watch the reading of the verdict. I probably cheered though the case is known for its division along racial lines.

For me in my young head I probably didn't pay much attention to that. It was difficult for me to recognize how someone who was as well-known as O.J. could effectively throw his life away like this. In California, murder either gets you sent to prison for life or they can execute you (California hasn't executed anyone in years, however, they still have the death penalty).

One of his attorney's on the so-called "dream team" the late Johnnie Cochrane said it best himself years later, Blacks probably cheered because they saw a Black man with money beat the rap. He also stated he'd be sick to his stomach if he learned O.J. had done it. Of course with attorney client privilege I can only wonder if Mr. Cochrane knows the truth himself anyway.

Also I was aware of the racial division of this case. They got the bogey man in former LAPD police detective Mark Fuhrman.  This was at least three years after the L.A. Riots which was the result of a brutal police beating of Rodney King. Perhaps while one segment of the population saw this case for what it was, another seemed to have wanted the "racist" justice system to take a hit by getting O.J. acquitted.

For me, yes I wanted justice to prevail however I wanted O.J. to be innocent. Again I didn't want to believe he'd thrown his life away by doing this. Of course in later years we see how his life had turned out.

In recent years he's shown himself on what he calls "Xworld" formerly Twitter where he rants on things such as sports. He event commented on his health which was one of the last rants he had before his demise was announced on Twitter.

I would say another thing he just failed to avoid or attract was the spotlight. For me, knowing how this "debate" was still going on after his acquittal I've always wondered why he never could stay low?

In his case I'm most certainly fine with the idea that he asked for forgiveness when the inevitable happens. Who wants to think about that part of life? However again I hope he feels guilt over what happened, I suppose we'll never really know how that whole event went down.

One sad chapter is over now!

'Epstein didn't kill himself'

Well I'm not very invested in this case, however, he still has family and while his brother chooses not to appear on camera with Tucker Carlson he does discuss his doubts about Jeffrey Epstein's suicide. Too many questions there.

Allow me to share with you the video from X/Twitter

As I said I'm not that invested in this case, however, there is some corruption here. Epstein seems to have connections with a number of powerful people which includes former presidents such as Bill Clinton and even royalty with English Prince Andrew - brother to King Charles III. I'm hearing about the late physicist Stephen Hawking even associated with him.

Donald Trump is mentioned but I'm seeing there's no allegation of wrongdoing. In fact it was on his watch that Jeffrey Epstein was killed in a federal holding cell in NYC. Allegedly the Attorney General of the United States was part of a coverup. That would probably be either Jeff Sessions or Bill Barr.

Anyway, let's be clear there are allegations of sex trafficking and paedophilia here. One prominent victim a Virginia Giuffre, I'd be concerned with how she wound up being trafficked to where she would allegedly have sexual encounters with a member of the British Royal Family (I already mentioned him).

For this to occur you would have to find someone who is in some ways vulnerable, a teenaged girl would foot that bill. Perhaps I don't know enough about her story to say how vulnerable she was aside from her age of course. However, this should be concerning that minor girls (that is those under the age of 18 at least) were being trafficked and traded.

Now that's the crime in and of itself, however, some powerful people are bound to be implicated and now the question becomes who wanted to take Jeff Epstein out? His brother wants to know also!

Why would you burn down MLK Jr.'s childhood home

[VIDEO] ABL Discusses what happened recently in Atlanta, this woman who is said to be a Navy veteran and reportedly suffers from PTSD attempted to burn a Federal landmark, the childhood home of Martin Luther King Jr. She was stopped by bystanders which included two retired NYPD officers. Wow!

When I first saw this story, I wondered if she even knew or cared about what she was doing. Perhaps it was a mental break of some sort, however, what drove her to do something like this. What led her to MLK's home?

Now I want to visit even more. If I had been able to come to SpelHouse homecoming if I had the time, this is one place that was worth visiting and sharing on my YouTube channel :P

Shapiro: Democrat council member DEFENDS Gov. DeSantis

I'm sharing this video from Ben Shapiro because I like the idea of bipartisanship. A Democrat defending a Republican Governor who appeared at a press conference regarding a shooting and there was about to be a protest. What this lady said with regards to bullets have no party I feel that.

Let's delve into it.

[VIDEO] I intended to opine on the hoopla around the GOP Presidential Debate last week. And of course this video concerns Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who is running for President against one Donald Trump who was arrested and got a mugshot in Fulton County, Georgia.

There was a shooting at a Dollar General store in Chicago Jacksonville, Florida the victims were Black and the alleged shooter was white. Was this incident racially motivated? I don't know.

What Ben Shapiro discusses here is that what this Jacksonville Councilwoman Ju'Coby Pittman did was a community thing. Gov. DeSantis at least showed up to the scene of a crime and at that a heavily covered crime. A crime that could possibly be motivated by race. A bullet knows no party and if a Republican has to work together for Democrats for more security or police or anything to ensure a safe community then that's a good thing.

And yeah DeSantis is running for President. He might not have a change against Trump, however, if something high profile like this comes up I do hope a Ron DeSantis shows up. He's governed Florida very well I do hope he can do the same for America.

I might also add there is a time and place for politics and a "prayer vigil" for the victims of this potentially racially motivated crime. We can debate that the State of Florida isn't keeping their citizens safe. For now at least we know that there is some attention devoted to this issue. And of course there is a time to let DeSantis know that in light of this event he still isn't doing the right thing.

So anyway as stated in the above video I felt the comments of Ms. Pittman and we need more of it from our public officials. Yeah there is time for political theater and then there is time to come together as a community.
