In a sudden blow to South Carolina and Washington, longtime GOP Senator Lindsey Graham passed away Saturday evening at age 71 after a brief illness. His office confirmed the news, with the D.C. medical examiner citing aortic dissection due to heart disease.
Bill O’Reilly addressed the loss directly in his July 14 video, “Sen. Lindsey Graham Dies — Bill O'Reilly on the Political Aftermath.” O’Reilly recapped Graham’s long service: Air Force JAG, four Senate terms, and his evolution into a staunch Trump ally and foreign policy hawk.
The senator strongly backed hard power—supporting Ukraine (he had just returned from there), Israel, and confronting Iran, Russia, and terrorists. O’Reilly played clips from Graham’s final interview on deterrence and global threats, praising his consistent vision while noting past disagreements like Iraq intel. He dismissed conspiracy theories and highlighted their personal friendship, including golf outings and Middle East calls with Trump.

Up until the 1840s, the District of Columbia was a perfect square. The Washington, D.C. that we know about today lies within the state of Maryland, however, the city/county of Alexandria, Virginia was the other part of the square. In 1846, was the retrocession of the Alexandria area - the Virginia portion of D.C. back to the State of Virginia.

Well there is some news and who knows if it's credible. California Congressman Kevin McCarthy who is the Republican leader and Speaker presumptive who's shown after three days and 11 votes for a House Speaker that he's not a shoo-in. From Politico:
Kevin McCarthy and his conservative opponents have reached a tentative breakthrough after a days-long standoff, giving the California Republican’s speaker bid a needed momentum boost.
Conservatives say they still need to look over the details of the potential package of concessions, but it’s a sign of life for McCarthy, who has struggled to show public strength after three days of 11 speaker ballots that have seen him fail to flip any of his opponents.
Importantly, while it will get McCarthy closer, it is unlikely the agreement will be enough to get him the votes he needs to win the speakership. Twenty Republicans have been routinely opposing McCarthy on the floor, leaving him more than a dozen votes short of where he needs to be to win the House’s top gavel. McCarthy will need to flip most of those votes without alienating centrists and institutionalists, who worry that he is giving away too much.
The possible deal comes after several hours of negotiations with McCarthy’s detractors and less than a day after the GOP leader made an offer that conceded to basically all of their demands — including making it easier to boot a speaker.
Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz nominated former President Trump on the floor. This is something it seems MAGA supporters want and technically the Speaker of the House doesn't necessarily have to be a sitting member of that body. It was a BOOM moment when it happened. [VIDEO]
Now I'm somewhat aware that there were some issues coming with McCarthy, but who knew that it would take three days to still determine who'll be the next House Speaker. Routinely Hakeem Jeffries the new Democrat leader in the house - minority leader - has been getting more votes than McCarthy to take the gavel. However, a candidate needs 218 a majority of voters to be able to be the House of Representatives presiding officer.
Part of me says McCarthy needs to bow out! Part of me wants to get to the real business of the people! And I recognize this is a consequence of the non-red wave.
[VIDEO] Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asks President Biden's SCOTUS Justice nominee Kentanji Brown Jackson for the definition of a woman. The judge's retort was to state "I'm not a biologist".
The state of politics today that we avoid answering a basic question such as this seems a bit silly. However, this is where we are as a supreme court confirmation hearing of all places.
[VIDEO] So CNN at the start of the above clip did a brief segment on the interview with Charlemagne who has his own TV program on Comedy Central - unknown to me. It got a bit heated and the journalists - whom I don't know because I don't watch CNN - discuss the Vice President's intensity once Charlemagne asks who's actually President "Brandon" or Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia.

[VIDEO] Dysfunctional Democrats..... First Lady Jill Biden can't stand Vice President Kamala Harris - the first woman and person of color as Vice President. I've been hearing in the press that the Biden camp is at odds with the Harris camp. How did she get chosen to be his running mate again?
Well if you're worried about a President Harris once President Biden crashes and burns well we might remove one concerning part of this equation.
[VIDEO] I've shared some clips from Sky News Australia and they seem to be even more critical of what's going on in Washington than even the primtime line-up of FOX News. Yep I do mean Tucker, Hannity or Ingraham.
In this recent clip and I saw this probably with Mark Dice, I just had to say eww to the Vice President Kamala Harris expressing excitement that the children she was speaking with would get to see those craters on the moon. Why eww? Because it just seemed so fake and Vice President Harris has an issue with seeming very disingenuous.
Now why exactly is this crew at Sky News Aus. stating that V.P. Harris has never spoken to children before in her life. Hmmm, I don't know but watching her talk to them was just hard to watch. To see that girl under whelmingly say WOW when the Vice President talks about craters I had to laugh. Her response would be my response!
[VIDEO] The controversy over Gen. Mark Milley - chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff the top military advisor to the POTUS - has gone on over a week or longer. Gen. Milley should've raised my eyebrow when he apologizes for being with then President Trump last year as he held up a bible outside of an historic church near the White House. He was uncomfortable with that evidently.
He proclaimed in uniform at a Congressional hearing that he wants to understand "white rage". And I can surmise that white rage is code for domestic extremists I'm sure. Not racists just Trump supporters, just my opinion not fact. We've been obsessed with white rage, whiteness, white supremacy, white privilege, etc for over a year now.
Now we hear that he may have been on a phone call with the Chinese Communists bad mouthing then Pres. Trump. He's proclaiming that he's in actual control of the military instead of that unstable madman - hey I don't know about the guy in there now! These are actually allegations that are in a book and have yet to be from what I can tell substantiated. However a military leader going against civilian authority - a general and his commander-in-chief is clearly a problem.
And on that I would say it also came out earlier this year once Biden became President that Gen. Milley was ready to orchestrate a "coup d'etat" against then Pres. Trump if he doesn't step aside as he contested the 2020 race. I'd say any alleged statements from that time was really a problem although it gave what quite a few angry anti-Trumpers reality to what they can only dream of - forcefully pulling Trump from the White House.
Of course I say all this to show the main issue with Gen. Milley which is the debacle in Afghanistan. A lot of heads should've rolled for that. From cabinet secretaries to military leadership, however, so far that hasn't happened yet.
O'Reilly is probably right. No one wants to embarrass the U.S. military, however, when there is a massive and public failure as we've seen in Afghanistan the past month or so what do you do. If Trump was in there and this happened heads would roll!
I wish I had the foresight to follow polls more closely. Via Real Clear Politics:
What we see from this is that the decline in President Bidens’ job approval from around 52% to 46% is consistent with a loss of an additional 5% of the Democrats’ caucus, or an additional 11 seats. If we put them altogether into a single regression analysis, we explain about two-thirds of the overall variation. This isn’t so bad, given the amount of randomness we have to explain here. The model suggests overall that the decline in Biden’s job approval will probably cost Democrats about eight seats.
Some of this is likely blowback to the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, which may recede over the coming months. It may also be the case that there is some reluctance on the part of Democrats to respond to surveys right now, which artificially deflates his job approval.
Regardless, the decline in Biden’s job approval is consequential. Right now, he is probably sitting just below the “Mendoza line” that would represent a “normal” midterm, with perhaps no Senate losses and low double-digit House losses. If the president rebounds, Democrats will have a successful 2022, even if they narrowly lose the House. If he declines much further, however, it could turn into an ugly rout.
The article looks at the history of elections in America and ultimately lookings at polling in general and attempting to gauge where President Joe Biden will be during the midterms next year in 2022.
[VIDEO] Bill O'Reilly notes in fairness that President Biden corrected himself, however, he noted if it had been President Trump or perhaps any other Republican we might not hear the end of this. The current President Joe Biden may well get a pass for this and I do believe he actually misspoke - thus I will make no reference to any cognitive impairment which is often being discussed with Biden.
With this said before I saw the clip of Biden's remarks which is with regards to the recent hurricane that made landfall in Louisiana with regards his senior advisor Richmond I was just about to get upset. I don't think I'd agree with many of Richmond's ideas I'm right of center and he's to the left. At the same time he's my Morehouse brother and he's due a lot more respect than to just be called "boy".
Also President Biden is known for making questionable racial statements. For example when he became president he claimed Black business people don't have lawyers or accountants. A sloppy statement to say the least....
[VIDEO] This campus reform video shows how much the public don't know about her policies. They mostly celebrate her accomplishment as far as being the first woman Vice President in U.S. history. Most of them know she's not doing a great job as a border czar and one says it's surprising she's not doing much with that area - well it's because she doesn't want that on her portfolio.
According to this write-up from Campus Reform 48% of Americans who were polled disapprove of her performance in office. Many of the people interviewed here mainly viewed that as a sign of her status as a woman and a minority. One young man admitted that the Democrats had failed to really sell her based upon her accomplishments as opposed to her being the first woman and first Black & South Asian woman as Vice President. And that hideous laugh when she can't answer a question.
[VIDEO] Mark Dice takes aim at the squad between AOC's wearing her mask for a photo-op and then taking it off a bit later. He also takes aim at Rep. Cori Bush who as she continues to advocate for defunding police, states that she plans to continue to pay for her own personal security. And then President Sleepy Joe can't get his numbers right as far as how many American citizens have been vaccinated.
[VIDEO] Liberal Hivemind is saying what I have been thinking for the last month or so. Vice President Kamala Harris is just unpopular and ever since she was bequeathed the job of border czar it just hasn't gone very well for her. Even if Joe Biden somehow leaves office within the next year she just won't be effective at all as President in her own right. It's just my gut feeling....
As as for President Biden well there is talk among some commentators and buoyed by the opinions of former White House doctors that his mental capacity continues to diminish and he has no choice. The only reason why we're talking about this now after only 6 months into a new administration is that when he took over the nation it's been a very rough go indeed.
[VIDEO] Because Friday is SmackDown night I missed Tucker however this is his most recent monologue. Kamala Harris - the first woman to hold the office of Vice President - is a power hungry buffoon. And he's not wrong when if you call her out in the US media you'll be denounced as a racist and surely a sexist as well.
According to this monologue U.S. voter believe she's running the gov't not President Joe Biden. We see the President of Mexico take some shots at her referring to her as "president".
I'm sorry Madam Vice President if somehow you do succeed to the Presidency if Joe Biden or someone around him realizes it's not working out I don't think you'll be able to do much. There isn't a groundswell of support for you and perhaps you might surprise us in your performance if that day comes. However, I don't see it if you become President you'll be a placeholder and that's with great respect as a fellow HBCU alumni.
So if that day passes I won't be too concerned. And I won't be too concerned that you'll even try to run for President at any time in the future. Enjoy your time in the limelight while you have it.
[VIDEO] The other day I was going on and on about the Vice President's hideous selfie image cookies. They were faceless and it seemed as if whatever icing that was used was running down from her hair. It was just ugly and those cookies were distributed to the press on her trip to central America.
With this said, she's had a rough few days as Ben Shapiro opines. VP Harris is the first woman to hold that office and she's also the first of south Asian and Black descent. One could say identity politics is why she's in this position after basically failing in the 2020 Democrat presidential primaries. I also hear she isn't really liked by Biden's people or even Biden himself, however, whoever was around Biden convinced him to make Kamala Harris his running mate.
So either way if heaven forbid Biden isn't able to complete his one term as president - and it doesnt seem to be going that great right now - then Harris might get it. And if you believe the analysis of right-wing pundits like Shapiro she's just not good at this. When friendly journalist Lester Holt tried to press her on whether or not she went to the border she just started giggling. Perhaps because she already knew she wasn't telling the truth when she repeated she's going to the border. She's the border czar after all and she won't go to the border and won't answer a friendly journalist.
In spite of her "historic" achievement as the first woman and woman of color to be Vice President, if she does become President which seems to be the hope of a certain segment of the electorate I get the feeling she won't be able to do much. Who's her base? Where will her political support come from?
Race or gender aside I just don't think she'll effective if she gets into the "big boy" chair. The way things are going the giggling, the fakeness, the public will see right through her.
[VIDEO] Basically this recent video riffs off of DC's response to a senseless homicide of a UberEats driver who was carjacked. He was killed as he was dragged by his vehicle where two minor teenaged girl one 13 and the other 15 had relieved him of his car. The car he needed to make a living and these two after mortally hurting another man were more concerned about where their cell phone is....
They have little idea what happened. Perhaps they don't know that in their actions a man lost his life. They probably don't realize the gravity of what they're charged with. Yeah charged with theft or auto-theft or carjacking then add murder. These two young women who remain unidentified may well have no idea that they may lose decades of their lives for this if convicted.
I was confused by the tweet reference in the video. He purports this to be Mayor Muriel Bowser's response to this crime. It's no accident that these girls were trying to carjack someone..
Anyway, Mayor Bowser shared a video from the Metro Police about what to do to avoid being a victim of carjacking. That was her only response and perhaps for Liberal Hivemind doesn't give much solace to a family who's lost their patriarch. I've been trying to find that tweet, and see that it's been deleted. Shame...
As I share this, the Georgia runoffs for their two US Senate seats appear to be too close to call. I'm willing to predict that one of those two seats will remain Republican. The pressure cooker of this is that well Georgia is one of those disputed states from last year's presidential election and course a recorded call of Trump attempting to convince GA's Secretary of State to look into voter fraud.
And tomorrow will be January 6th when the US Congress will meet to certify the electoral vote. And there are a sizeable number of Senators and Representatives who will object to the certification over allegations of voter fraud.
Well I want to share with you Illinois Republican congressional response. How many of them might choose to join the group of Congressmen & women who might join in the object. They only mention LaHood, Kinzinger, and Bost. Also noted at CapFax Rodney Davis who represents amongst other parts of his district the University of Illinois has not taken a position as of yet.

I also want to note that there is a protest being planned in Washington, DC just in time for this certification. I think if anything really weird happens with this election this might light a fuse under the more destructive elements of our society. Whether or not they were involved in the process all they need is an excuse to get fired up. Here's hoping things remain peaceful though I'm not sure the objections will really do anything to change the process.
Indeed we may well be in uncharted territory whatever happens tomorrow.

She went through contentious US Senate Judicial Committee hearing and she got confirmed by the US Senate. Then later sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas. Congrats to newly minted Supreme Court Justice Barrett.
