[VIDEO] The momentum began once former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said parents didn't have the right to tell schools what to teach their children. Conservative media took that and ran with it and it's safe to say McAwfu.....McAuliffe never recovered. The race tightened in the polls and ultimately Youngkin less than a week before election day was leading in polls.
The race was somewhat expected to be very tight and it was. Though by my eyes percentage wise (that rhymes) not that tight.

I suspect most Americans don't care about getting an electric car or going green when it costs so much to go to work or buy groceries or even heating their homes when it gets cold. And Americans don't want to be told they're intolerant thought that's not to say we shouldn't call it out when it happens. I suspect Americans want positivity more than being talked down to or lectured.
Youngkin seized upon this and listened to the people and here's hoping that in Virginia he'll govern accordingly.
Perhaps later tonight I'll take a look at the elections in New York City and Atlanta. I wanted to see how those races went.
BTW, also last night in Virginia they elected their first Republican Black women to the office of Lt. Gov. Problem is for some reason she's being reported as the first Black elected statewide or to the office of Lt. Governor in Virginia. NO!
That distinct actually goes to former Governor of Virginia Douglas Wilder who was first elected to that post over thirty years ago and then later elected the first Black to the Governor's office there. The current Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is Black and made the news himself because he was accused of a sexual assault while the current Gov. Ralph Northam was seen in photographs in Black face. Yeah that post went nutty quickly yeah I'll end it now.
