Patrick Bet-David sat down recently with Roman Yampolskiy, the University of Louisville computer scientist who argues that general superintelligence is not a tool we will learn to steer. The claim is blunt: a 99.9999 percent chance it eventually ends humanity.
The number is what travels. The argument is narrower. Yampolskiy is not mainly talking about lost jobs or deepfakes. Those are still human problems. His point is that once you build an agent smarter than every person in every domain, control is not unsolved. It is unsolvable.
A nuke is a tool. Someone still has to use it. Superintelligence, as he describes it, sets its own subgoals. Rational agents converge on the same moves: protect themselves, get more compute, more energy, more matter. If people are in the way, the system does not slow down. You do not count the ants before you pour the foundation.
Guardrails are for tools. Labs already strip them for testing. Models already lie, cheat tests, and route around refusals. If you cannot explain the weights, predict the next move, or contain the system, you are not in charge of it. At that point the race, the surplus, and the job market are secondary. If superintelligence exists anywhere, he says, it takes the rest of the board.
Sabrina Joy Stevens spent nearly twenty years inside progressive activism—teaching, organizing, communications strategy, education reform, women’s rights, racial justice. She was not a bystander. She was a professional in what she later named Group Think, Inc.
Here is the Free Press conversation where she walks through how it ended: [VIDEO]
The rupture came in 2020. It was not one sudden conversion. It was the steady accumulation of contradictions that the ideology could no longer explain away. Progressives treated racism as a “deadly pandemic” while treating actual pandemic rules as optional when their preferred protests required it. The rhetoric stayed maximalist and urgent. The actions often looked unserious, selective, or counterproductive. The gap between the story and the results became impossible to ignore.
I didn’t share it at the time, but I found former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s May appearance on Bill O’Reilly’s We’ll Do It Live podcast revealing. It’s timely now given the increased scrutiny of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s role during the pandemic. Cuomo was a central figure then, before he resigned in his third term.
In this clip from his recent appearance on the PBD Podcast, Ben Shapiro addresses the broad drop in views and engagement across much of conservative media since the intense political year of 2024. He breaks down the different audiences that various right-leaning personalities actually reach and draws a clear line: he would rather have lower ratings than abandon his principles. Shapiro says he prefers Democrats not running the country over chasing clicks that depend on perpetual conflict, and he notes that he has held positions (on 2020, January 6, and other issues) that cost him audience rather than reverse course for numbers.
On Monday, Tucker Carlson posted a more than two-hour interview with Hunter Biden. Hunter is the son of the 46th P.O.T.U.S., Joe Biden, and for years he has been known mainly as the addict son who somehow left a laptop in a computer repair shop.
A few years ago this would have raised my eyebrows. Tucker was clearly on a different side then. The idea of him sitting down for a long, largely civil conversation with Hunter Biden would have surprised me. Now it doesn’t. The interview still got my attention, but for different reasons.
To be honest, I never thought much about the laptop story beyond what it seemed to show about control—or the lack of it—around President Biden. I’m not interested in piling on the former president. He is very ill; reports say his cancer has spread to his bones. That said, I do believe his one term was rough on the country, and we are still dealing with the consequences. Even so, I have never fully understood the lasting significance people attach to Hunter’s laptop.
There are two sides to every story. That is why I am sharing the interview. Below is the video, followed by a short synopsis of the points that stood out.
Former Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao gave a long-form interview on the Yada Yada Gold podcast and spoke with unusual directness about four things that still get little sustained attention: the plea deal he rejected, what he was doing and thinking on May 25, 2020, the reality of federal prison, and the incentives that reward those who adopt the preferred narrative.

In a sudden blow to South Carolina and Washington, longtime GOP Senator Lindsey Graham passed away Saturday evening at age 71 after a brief illness. His office confirmed the news, with the D.C. medical examiner citing aortic dissection due to heart disease.
Bill O’Reilly addressed the loss directly in his July 14 video, “Sen. Lindsey Graham Dies — Bill O'Reilly on the Political Aftermath.” O’Reilly recapped Graham’s long service: Air Force JAG, four Senate terms, and his evolution into a staunch Trump ally and foreign policy hawk.
The senator strongly backed hard power—supporting Ukraine (he had just returned from there), Israel, and confronting Iran, Russia, and terrorists. O’Reilly played clips from Graham’s final interview on deterrence and global threats, praising his consistent vision while noting past disagreements like Iraq intel. He dismissed conspiracy theories and highlighted their personal friendship, including golf outings and Middle East calls with Trump.

In 2021, on this blog I shared a video from the edu-tuber Mr. Beat. He breaks down historic figures in a straightforward way, and one of them was billionaire George Soros. Here's what I wrote back then:
As of late you hear a lot about how Soros uses his fortune to fund politicians favorable to his political ideology. He's also been accused of funding soft on crime prosecutors here in this nation from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Philadelphia. Even right here in Cook County/Chicago with our current State's Attorney.
That post stuck with the basics—his funding of progressive causes and DAs. It didn't dig into the "why" or the full picture of what Soros represents.
Recently, I came across a video from Michael Franzese, a former mobster who's shared a lot of raw stories about living that Mafia life. He often steps back to look at bigger issues in the world today. This time, he takes a hard look at Soros.
Matt Walsh is someone I generally agree with on quite a few issues and I'm going to beg to differ with his profanity laced argument.
Barbara Rose Johns' statue will replace Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee at the US Capitol thanks to her role during the Civil Rights Movement with regards to protesting poor conditions at her Virginia school. I think Walsh acknowledges this, however, is dismissive compared to the accomplishments of Gen. Lee.
Now I do believe this change is something that would've likely happened under Democratic control of the US Congress and certainly in the racially charged environment of 2020 - after the death of George Floyd. Now I learned in this article that Gen. Lee's statue was removed in 2020 - as I thought.
It seems the Republicans and the Trump administration are doing everything they can to undo any changes under the guise of wokeness. This could be a sign of wokeness.
Now for Gen. Lee, people will naturally stop at the fact that he fought on the side of the Confederacy in the Civil War. The story I might remember from my history class in school was that he was very unwilling to fight against his native state of Virginia once they had seceded from the Union.
He had formerly served in the United States Army and if I recall he lead U.S. forces against the rebellion of John Brown at Harper's Ferry.
What is the Confederacy known for, well generally they were the former slaves states of the United States of America - many of those states had left the Union. Well in today's society reflexively we believe the Confederate states are no different the the worst regimes of history. They're very racist they hate people who aren't white.
Now if you want my nuanced view - probably not all that nuanced - the Unions defeated the Confederacy. Slavery ended although America still had a race issue once the seceding states were folded back into this nation. We still had to deal with Jim Crow, segregation, etc. We may still be grappling with racial issues, however, we're a long way from where we were 60 or 70 years ago
I'm glad that Ms. Johns for her activism and who later married (actually she's Mrs. Powell and became a librarian who died of cancer in 1991 is getting her recognition now. Yes, it may not be as significant as Robert E. Lee and yet very significant in recent times.
With this said, I may agree with Walsh on one thing. If this is about being "woke" and leaving out that he believes she's unremarkable, then we can talk about how the left has no historical heroes.
The great historical heroes or the icons of history are problematic. Let's leave out that he mentions race - the white men of history. Perhaps some men who are historically significant are aggressive, eccentric, or perhaps hold problematic political views.
Whatever contributions to our nation, we need to recognize their accomplishments. We can recognize the bad, however, we also need to recognize their roles in our history.
Perhaps there was a much better way to recognize Barbara Rose Johns Powell than this woke posturing. For her being so young and being part of a Civil Rights action she should be recognized and known for her contributions.
There are a lot of people who take issue with some of Hogan's tall tales or even his alleged racism, I still respect him as a wrestling legend. He was one of the first wrestling champions I cheered. He's not a perfect man, no one is.
A lot of people are saying that Hogan - aka as Terry Gene Bollea - was a racist p.o.s. and the recording that came out within the last decade led to his temporary separation from WWE (the organization formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation or WWF) in about 2015-16. Of course he came back long enough to be booed by the wrestling fans in attendance for Monday Nite Raw's debut on Netflick as he attempted to put over Real American Beer - has latest business venture.
That proved to be his last appearance in front of the WWE Universe.
I used the nice term tall tales, but some people do think of him as a liar. Perhaps telling tall tales of how he put others over and also reports of him trying to protect his top position at the expense of others.
I don't think much of his usage of the N-word or even his attempts to sort of explain himself. Perhaps it's more the stories of how he protected his position in the business when he was still an active wrestler. I may take more issue with that than anything else.
No denying, however, that he is the most recognized wrestler ever. Perhaps there would be now WWE without him the 1980s. He belongs on the Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling although we can debate the other four performers.
As I stated he was the first wrestling champion I ever cheered, and then when he turned heel in WCW and joined the nWo I booed him. I still did when he came back to the organization then known as the WWF. While I might have not let go of his heel persona, I was glad to see the nostalgia and he was cheered by the crowds again in one of his last runs in the now WWE. He sort of adjusted very well to the "Ruthless Aggression" era.
And now he leaves us with memories. He had been in declining health in recent months. Hadn't made many public appearances, even was rarely posting on social media - it was even reported any pics of him were older pics. There were reports that he had been in the hospital for a bit and the last report a day before his demise was he had a damaged trachea.
And then he leaves us to have his last match with the Macho Man Randy Savage who died over a decade ago.
[VIDEO] This podcast is an eye-opening and an explanation with regards to what has been in the news granting refugee status in the United States for white South Africans (Afrikaner & Anglo). Patrick Bet David speaks with South African entrepreneur Rob Hersov - who said he had worked for News Corp's Rupert Murdoch - discussing from his point of view what has been going on in South Africa.
As an aside, I've heard about some things in the news with regards to South Africa. According to Hersov when the white minority gov't turned over South Africa to the African majority, it was a marvel of the world. And then South Africa degenerates to - again according to Hersov - what Germany became in the 1930s.
His story of a very corrupt gov't in South African and the targets are the whites who live there.
At this point not exactly breaking news but shocking. He had recently emerged after some serious ailments over the past few months. Presided over Easter services at the Vatican and met with Vice President J.D. Vance and then the day after Easter we find out he's gone. Wow.
At 9:45 AM, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, announced the death of Pope Francis from the Casa Santa Marta with these words:
"Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church. He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage, and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized. With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God."
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, told journalists later on Monday that the late Pope's body could be transferred to St. Peter's Basilica on Wednesday morning, so that the faithful may pray before his mortal remains.
"The translation of the Holy Father's mortal remains to the Vatican Basilica, for the veneration of all the faithful, may take place on the morning of Wednesday, April 23, 2025, according to the arrangements that shall be determined and communicated tomorrow, following the first Congregation of the Cardinals," Mr. Bruni said.
What's a bit wild about this is I had 20 years ago also posted about the death of John Paul II. 20 years ago same month J.P. II had passed April 2nd as apposed to Francis on April 21. I find that interesting.
I don't recall writing much about the death of Pope Benedict - although he was pope emeritus at the time of his passing. He had in fact resigned the papacy in 2013 although I did share a post about Francis becoming the new pope.
I did find a post about Joe Biden (remember him?) not going to Benedict's funeral evidently by Benedict's own request.
[VIDEO] Lindy Li is a Democratic fundraiser who has been speaking out about the 2024 campaign debacle. The debacle involving President Joe Biden's mental debility and of course the cult surround his former Vice President.....what's their name....Kamala......Harris....
Anyway, that's not to say there was a cult around V.P. Harris exactly, she does describe a cult advocating for very odd things that defies all common sense. One subject that came up was transitioning children to another gender or the idea that keeping our border closed is racist.
And what's unfortunate is the idea that her parents were threatened by her about face as far as the Democrat Party. And even the attacks and vandalism of Tesla vehicles all because Elon Musk sides with President Donald Trump.
I don't even plan to own an electric vehicle, however, if you believe climate change is such a major issue why are you throwing such much shade at one company who's attempting to address it. And worse still reports of Teslas being set on fire and knowing that such fires are difficult to put out, what is that doing for "climate change"?
[VIDEO] I'm sorry to say I don't read too many of Bill O'Reilly's books.
O'Reilly who refers to himself as a "news analyst" known for his long-running TV program The O'Reilly Factor and currently has the program The No-Spin News has written a number of historical books including this one. Though in the case of The United States of Trump it's a bit more current than many of his books.
He analyzes Trump, discusses his own personal history with him. They're both New Yorkers of course and he may say they have similar personalities. It's a fascinating look at a man who's competitive, flamboyant, a showman, an entrepreneur, and later a politician.
Allow me to add, Trump as the 45th P.O.T.U.S. was the first one to have had no experience in either politics or gov't and the military. He went directly from the business/entertainment world to the political world. Isn't that amazing?
And you know that kept me from voting for him in 2016. He was an unknown to me as a politician. He was known for his business dealings (and the case could be made he was a true cultural icon in-spite of that snarky line I had assigned to the now former Vice President Kamala Harris) and his TV program The Apprentice.
Either way, does this 1 hour program give you any great insight about President Trump? Does it change your opinion of him.
[VIDEO] It didn't seem that long ago that Elon Musk wasn't even in Donald Trump's camp and then things start to change within the last four years. Though Musk had in the recent past consider President Trump unfit for the office to turn around and in 2024 he's supported Trump's successful bid to regain the Presidency.
And now Musk is poised to head the Dept. of Gov't Efficiency and cut down the nat'l debt as a result.
It also seems if you watch this video that the Biden administration seemed to dismiss Musk's accomplishments. Especially with the Tesla cars and even with the administrations push for electric cars and they still failed to fully support or publicize his brand of electric cars.
And this should be a given if in the past Musk supported Barack Obama - 44th P.OT.U.S. - and Biden is Obama's "boy".
Expect a mention of the "woke mind virus" which is part of this landmark Supreme Court case being argued currently.
[VIDEO] A number of topics I saw when watching this interview.
Vince Everett Ellison discusses manhood, the need for fathers, and even the origins and benefactors of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King. I didn't see the whole 2 hour + interview but it was very interesting.
Ellison had appeared several times on Tucker's former FOX News program. Now we see a long form interview now that he's started his own platform.
Patrick Bet David went from being in refugee camps to the US Army and then to becoming a salesman and being an entrepreneur to becoming a podcast host. And his podcasts produced by Valuetainment are must watches based upon the subjects and often who he might have appear on the podcast.
So recently he spoke with Ben Shapiro and the discussion was so interesting that I had to logon to Daily Wire + to watch the members only portion of the interview. He further discusses how he became a minority owner of MLB's N.Y. Yankees.
[VIDEO] I watched this recently. A biography of one of the more influential political theorists a man named Niccolo Machiavelli. If you took political theory in college, you might know about The Prince. I read it at Morehouse and time to read it again.
Basically if you take anything from The Prince it seems that the book is more about the philosophy of gaining and maintaining political power. And as I learned from this documentary, he really attached himself to the powerful family in Italy of his day the Medici.
[VIDEO] If you can catch up to his manner of speaking, what he says is interesting.
He tackles a lot of social and cultural issues affecting the world today. He might say the matrix wants all the buildings of the world to look the same. The reasoning, they don't want people to have an attachment to a place.
He tackles the issue of beauty. What's beautiful if anything is beautiful? Beauty is something that is difficult to attain. And again a beautiful building an architect worked to make that building something for people to want to look at or visit. Also a beautiful woman works out to maintain her body, though ideally one should maintain their body for their own health.
And certainly parents raising children. How much time do parents spend speaking with their children? Do parents instill their own values to their children? Do they even know what's going on at school anymore? And who actually raises the children now?
If you have an hour of Patrick Bet David speaking with men's right activist Andrew Tate who is currently under house arrest in the Eastern European Republic of Romania having been indicted by the court system there.
[VIDEO] Patrick Bet David explores this topic of George Soros. This is the man many on the right cite as the reason for the chaos here in America and other parts of the world. They cite him as the reason why many cities around America has very weak prosecutors and we can point to Los Angeles, Chicago, Manhattan (NYC), etc.
They explore his life as a child of the second World War to his early career in the finance world and then how he became an humanitarian. Then David asks if this man is actually a sociopath.
As far as the chaos with regards to prosecuting crime for example, what exactly is his motive?
Related to this Mr. Beat did a profile on Soros. It's a bit fairer since I view Patrick Bet David as more right leaning than Mr. Beat.
