[VIDEO] I hate to say it, however, Portland, OR is going to get the gov't they earned. The election between a very weak mayor - and I mean this literally not that Portland has a "weak mayor" system - and according to this FOX News report a self-proclaimed antifa supporter.
Mayor Ted Wheeler is a weak mayor - let me say this again a WEAK mayor. He can't keep control of Portland streets which hasn't settled down in three months. Think about that constant unrest and public disturbances and riots for three months.
He recently was forced to leave his condo residence because the protestors rioters - whom he tried to join and show solidarity with only to be run away by these same rioters and by police who lobbed teargas as this unlawful assembly - decided to come by and show their discontent. They reportedly tried to start a fire in his building which really threatened the lives and property of others in the building. And he still doesn't want to assert control over his city's streets.
Indeed he even had a press conference and shared a letter online to attack President Trump for the riots on his city's streets. So basically law and order is a very divisive tactic by the President. I've heard that Portlandia is weird, however, I'm not doing that city justice to say something weird is going on up there it's not right.
BTW, the Mayoral election was actually held in May and in fact his opponent Sarah Innanrone and it's been a known fact since before seeing the above video that she was an antifa supporter. The run-off will be in November.
