I was on fire Thursday night between Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham. I was writing a number of tweets with their respective hashtags addressing each program expressing one main idea. Big city leaders such as Portland, Ore. Mayor Ted Wheeler essentially enabling these riots. He won't do anything about it and is shocked that as he attempts to show solidarity with these protestors rioters they don't want him around.
I often boil it down to he represents the system they want to overthrow. So say Black Lives Matter all you want or opposes any federal efforts to bring law and order to city streets - or more accurately to protect federal assets such as a courthouse in his city - they don't care that they have people who sympathize with them in high places. These progressive, liberal, leftist politicians won't recognize that they're next for thedissidents mob.
I wanted to write about this last nite, the first victim of theseactivists hooligans was a man we've heard nary a peep from in over a month a man who is the mayor of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jacob Frey. He was all over solving the issues of "systemic racism", a memorable shot is of him weeping at the casket of George Floyd who was killed by callous police officers. Perhaps it was great theater, however, he attempted to show how upset at Floyd's death that he was. [VIDEO]
In a previous post I linked his to an article that showed a pic of what you just saw above with the text he was all over the issues of "systemic racism". This is a symbol of it but certainly he wanted the officer who had his knee on Floyd's neck arrested and charged in his death. He wanted that officers and others involved in that incident fired. He wanted to work to reform the Minneapolis Police Department, however, a funny thing happened.
Well these activists with BLM - no strikeout this time - didn't just want to reform police tactics as far as arrests or use of force, they wanted to either defund or abolish police. The debate has swung in a different direction than it used to and people were asking for a very radical move, that I doubt too many people would seriously consider. Unfortunately in this shocking video Mayor Frey was the first progressive liberal Democrat victim. [VIDEO]
Mayor Frey was asked point blank will he commit to abolish police and he wouldn't commit, the people who were at this rally chased him away. He was told to go home and was "shamed" and he looked so defeated when he walked away. Mayor Frey sympathized with BLM but wasn't on board with what they wanted. A piece was written about the young woman who asked him the question Kandace Montgomery.
And of course another funny thing happened not long after this not only did Minneapolis, Minn. its city council voted to defund the police and abolish their police department. Likely the first large city in the nation to do so.
I just gotta say like Mayor Ted Wheeler or even Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and perhaps a few others. They were on the national stage and I would expect Frey, Wheeler, and Durkan and perhaps others largely don't look great on that level. If you show no leadership and no fight and only give in to the radical elements looking to truly disrupt then we find out quickly why many of this nation's largest cities seem to be under such chaos during this time.
