An important fact of Dr. Thomas who has been president of Morehouse since just last year, is in fact the first since Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays to have not been a graduate of Morehouse. It would be very interesting what will be an important mark of his tenure.
Just bear in mind that in 2017, Morehouse had faced some major leadership issues that resulted in both the previous president Dr. John Silvanus Wilson and board of trustees chairman Robert Davidson departed from their roles.
