[VIDEO] This aired on the IL Channel recently from this weekend's CPAC conference where former President Donald J. Trump will speak in his first public appearance since leaving office last month. We see Leo Terrell and Congressman Burgess Owens and three other people not sure who they are speak about Black issues.
I wonder if we're seeing a trend as of late. More Black Republicans are being elected to public office especially Congress. Owens took office just last month and he's not the only Black Republican in Congress. And of course we have longtime U.S. Senator from South Carolina Republican Tim Scott. We also have the Attorney General of Kentucky in Daniel Cameron. I could continue, but here's hoping Republicans can continue to chip away at the Democrat's hold politically of the Black community.
Some might term this as the "Trump effect" as the former President ran for re-election last year was able to get more Black votes in his second run. He had some appeal for sure.
