What's happening with men in America?

[VIDEO] I was waiting for this to be seen on YouTube since it aired on FOX News' Tucker Carlson Tonight Wednesday. It caught my attention because of the focus on how men in America are falling behind educationally or career-wise. Some unthinkable stats with regards to what's going on with men, it seems they can't even succeed on the tests to join the US military.

Of course I have a few more questions and I want to target a certain demographic. Tucker specifically cites suicide rates among American Indian (or Native American) and white males. Perhaps Black men aren't suffering however as far as educational attainment or employment rates I'm sure they figure.

The way I see it Black men have been struggling. Black women seem to be thriving though it all depends on what the stats are. Black women are getting their educations which is of course good, however, what about the men. Are the Black men going to jail, preferring not to go to college, etc.

I'm somewhat concerned because of the articles that have come out of Black sites in recent years. Straight Black males are the white people of Black people. Or most men are either sexist or misogynists. There's some weird shade thrown at Black men as of late and I really didn't understand the crack about straight Black men...

Then again perhaps there is a pattern I'm noticing following mostly conservative blogs. There is an attack on men, these days being a man is a bad thing. There are articles about "toxic masculinity" out there. There is a belief that being a man is why there are issues with crime. If the whole most men are sexist and misogynist is an indication there is an assumption that a man is going to shoot his shot with a woman...because he likes women. To someone who's just warped and radical that is also a problem. Even if a man is a feminist himself, the trust still isn't there and it's already assumed that he's sexist and misogynist.

There are some more questions to ask and to take this subject further. This could be one huge sociology project for someone who's on the verge of getting their PhD. Hopefully in their respective sociology department at a university near you will have faculty that will accept such a proposal and hopefully they won't have an issue with the data the research presents.
