To ensure that our young people are ready for the world when they leave the world of K-12 education, should there be low expectations of them. It seems that's what they're seeking in Florida and a chapter of the NAACP seems to not like that. Certainly it's not a good message to tell Black children or "minority" children that they're not as capable as other children. We should attempt to get them to rise to the high levels of achievement as others.
