A Chicago Public Schools teacher was found shot and killed inside a parked vehicle near her South Side home over the weekend, officials said.
Officers were called about 12:15 a.m. Sunday to the 8700 block of South Euclid Avenue, where they found the woman sitting in a parked car with a gunshot wound to her head, Officer Amina Greer said.
The victim, Erika Prince, 32, of the 7400 block of South Eberhart Avenue, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, a Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman said. Prince worked as a special education teacher at Dixon Elementary School, 8306 S. St. Lawrence Ave.
Greer said Calumet Area detectives were conducting a death investigation pending the results of an autopsy, which was scheduled for later Monday. Further details were not being released.

This is kind of horrible. I wonder if they add a murdered teacher to the CPS stats. I know they have one for students. Seriously what happened here? Tribune again:
