Clinton runs even with Obama among blacks

I suppose this is a good thing. At least blacks aren't just fawning over Sen. Hillary Clinton and they're not automatically rejecting Sen. Obama for Clinton. I still think people like Hillary because of her "association" or I should say marriage to the former president Bill Clinton. Know one thing a good number of black folks love Bill Clinton still. That may be one main reason why people even take Hillary Clinton seriously at this point.

Blacks are split down the middle over Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the presidential race, seeing both as on their side, a new poll says.

At the same time, blacks and whites have different perceptions of Obama's credentials, the Associated Press-Ipsos poll said Wednesday. Blacks are more satisfied than whites that the youthful Illinois senator has sufficient experience.

Clinton led Obama among whites by 35 percent to 18 percent. Blacks were essentially evenly divided, 40 percent for Obama and 38 percent for Clinton.

''It's not so much Mrs. Clinton they're backing, it's that she's married to the ex-president,'' said one black politician, Mayor Willie Adams Jr. of Albany, Ga.

Wait a second that mayor just admitted to what I've always suspected! You know I wonder if that's fair to Hillary. Then again it probably wouldn't matter to Sen. Clinton she might just get elected regardless. She would really like that.
