The first point he attacks he add a new name/term/whatever. I never heard of "Jes Grew" and I wonder what it means. I'm gonna have to ask Mr. Cobb that question. I sort of understand the DuBois position (the talented tenth, the mostly educated and elite class of black America) vs. the Washington position of mostly pulling yourself up by the bootstraps and learning a trade and establishing a value for blacks. That reminds me another item that belongs on the booklist is W.E.B DuBois' Souls of Black Folk. Yeah I'm going to find that book and make a purchase. Oh and I've yet to read this I just found this article, "The Talented Tenth" by Mr. DuBois. Print it off and have a read.
Anyway there are some very good point made not only in the post itself, but also in the comments.
