Charles is crowned King

 

[VIDEO] I hadn't written a whole lot about the royals on this blog. You may know Queen Elizabeth II died last September and as a result her oldest son Charles becomes King as Charles III. Earlier today in "jolly ole England" Charles had his coronation and was crowned finally.

I would say this is akin to an inauguration although in this case Charles was King the moment that his mother the Queen Elizabeth had passed away. It's interesting to see this once in a generation event. How long shall the 74-year-old king reign?

Prince Philip R.I.P.

 Well this broke today. The prince consort to British Queen Elizabeth II wasn't in the best of health as of late which certainly came to light when his granddaughter in law Meghan Markle and his grandson Prince Harry did their interview with Oprah. That interview generated a lot of controversy with accusations of racism - it's no surprise that someone in the royal household would be concerned with the skin color of the Prince and Meghan's son. However in light of Philip's health issues the interview itself was considered by many in bad taste.
