President Donald Trump addressed the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York yesterday during the annual high-level General Debate. The United States, as host country, traditionally speaks early. He also held sideline meetings and signed a security agreement involving Greenland.

In a roughly 37-minute speech, Trump declared America “back” and stronger than ever, using the line “while others have talked, I have acted.” He defended the campaign against Iran, said he faces a “big decision” between a deal that lets Iran rebuild or “annihilate the Islamic Republic,” and predicted a deal after the November midterms. He asserted U.S. power in the Western Hemisphere (Venezuela oil as “spoils,” Cuba as a failed state that “will fall”—the Cuban delegation walked out), touted strikes on alleged drug boats, criticized the UN for pushing an unelected “far-left” globalist agenda while claiming budget and staff cuts, dismissed AI safety warnings as a hoax, and proposed renaming AI “super intelligence.” He stressed sovereignty and unmatched American military strength.
