CBS Miami: Bolsonaro supporters block roads in protest of Brazilian election

[VIDEO] I haven't been doing a great job following the Brazil presidential election. I won't even profess a great understanding of the politics of that large republic in South America.

President Jair Bolsonaro who made his rounds this year with conservative pundits such as Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson has been talking what his plans are with Brazil. And also his attempts to thwart a worldwide progressive agenda.

This past weekend Pres. Bolsonaro lost his re-election bid to former Pres. Lula Silva. It was a very narrowly contested race which was the result of a runoff. Barely one percent separated both candidates. As you see above voters seem unhappy about Bolsonaro's loss.

Another issue of note here and was mentioned by Pres. Bolsonaro is that Lula was convicted of political corruption and yet still allowed to run by Brazil's justice system and electoral authorities.

Anyway what should scare anyone is the idea of a military coup which depending on whatever sources you follow this call is coming from the people. Bolsonaro it seems though not conceding is attempting to take a different tack because well there is a perception that he wants a coup whether true or not. So it seems he will allow the peaceful transition of power to go forward, then again he may well attempt to challenge the results.

Now Bolsonaro is fashioned as a Trump admirer. Hopefully he won't take the full blue print which unfortunately includes that "insurrection". Whether or not you agree that Trump may not have participated or even was part of that insurrection in his attempts to challenge the election results there was a danger of the former President to tear apart America. On the other hand Brazil is more of a third world nation so with what it has going for it, I could view that nation in a very precarious state now.

Let's see what happens down there
