As the Democrats have their own "convention"' this week we learn that the McCloskeys of St. Louis, Missouri (wait I tuned away from the game between the Cardinals and Cubs with the north siders leading I hope they didn't lose that lead) will speak at the GOP "convention". The McCloskeys Mark and Patricia were a couple who defended their home from a mob of BLM protestors who tore down any obstructions to enter into a gated community in St. Louis.
I haven't heard much movement on their case as the St. Louis Circuit Attorney wants to prosecute them for their actions. But it's great to see that the couple are continuing to get some publicity for their actions. Unfortunately as the prosecutor there doesn't understand neither do some of the pundits at MSNBC.
As you see here at Newsbusters the McCloskeys got vilified as racists for what they did. Right is right and wrong is wrong, a story of a Black family over a century ago was brought up. They also had to face down a mob, a white one who didn't appreciate their presence in their community. It's really the same kind of thing, but a different situation. Both the McCloskeys and the family of Ossian Sweet were facing down violent mobs.
