This story disturbs me!!!

I just saw it on channel 2's 5PM newscast and here's a link to the story...
An all-out search for a missing 6-year-old girl was underway Thursday after the child disappeared while visiting her grandmother in Gary, Ind.

As CBS 2 Northwest Indiana Bureau Chief Pamela Jones reports, police in Gary are scouring the streets in search of Kayla Kinsey.

Kayla’s great aunt happens to be a Lake County Indiana councilmember. She called for help from Gary's mayor when she was notified Kayla disappeared, sparking an intense search.

"Please. Kayla is an innocent child. If you have her, please return Kayla safely back with her family where she belongs, and we are begging of you to do this,” said the girl’s great aunt Elsie Franklin.

Kayla’s family is handing out flyers they hope will lead to her return after she disappeared Wednesday at 1 p.m. from a home at 22nd Avenue and Taft Street in Gary.

She was living here temporarily with her grandmother, who says Kayla told her a white car was in the front yard and she was going to see who was inside. Kayla hasn't been seen since – a deep concern for her family and police.

"Statistically a child that's missing 24 to 48 hours, it's very crucial for us to find that child in 24 to 48 hours,” said Cpl. Nelson Otano of the Gary Police Department.

Some 30 Gary police officers carried flyers door to door and searched empty lots all day.

Her grandmother originally thought Kayla was playing in a next door neighbor's backyard, but those neighbors haven't seen her either.

"She'd always come over here with my nieces and nephews playing in the back yard and everything,” said neighbor Elizabeth Williams. “And you know, she's just a little sweet girl and we hope to find her real soon."
I don't mean to put someone on a guilt trip here, but if a little girl who doesn't know any better decided to go check out a vehicle, I'd stop her. That aspect of the story bothers me especially the part where there is a van outside and she goes out to check on it and I will assume that said van probably drove off with her. Very scary and heartbreaking and I hope they find the little girl.
