FOX News Primetime: Former Seattle Police chief speaks out one year after CHAZ

[VIDEO] This was uploaded onto FOX News' YouTube channel on Veterans' Day. And we see Carmen Best on the show discussing the events of last year.

Unfortunately Seattle, Washington fell victim to the ideology of defund police last year. Best is no long chief of the Seattle Police because not only did the Seattle city council opt to defund their police they also opted to give the police chief who was Ms. Best at that time a pay cut. Best if you don't know is a Black woman who made it up the chain of command to become a police chief,

After the wild events of 2020 especially in Seattle where they had to remove a so-called autonomous zone Carmen Best finally talks after the events that led to her leaving her position as chief of a big city police department.

Law & order vs abolitionist in Seattle, WA

I've never been to Seattle, Washington and in watching some of the news going on there is considered "disgustingly liberal". Last year Seattle was in the news for the creation of an autonomous zone that allowed no first responders there. Two people were killed and that autonomous zone arose in the unrest after George Floyd's death and worse still the two dead people were Black.

After initially considering the autonomous zone a "summer of love" echoing the unrest of the 1960s the mayor was subjected to protests. The city council wanted to defund police and ultimately the mayor herself just wanted out, she decided not to run for another term. Seattle like a lot of cities around the nation suffered from a high crime rate.

So it's interesting to hear - and I first learned about this from Liberal Hivemind that a Republican could win for city attorney there and the election was fairly recent:

Seattle political consultant Sandeep Kaushik said the November matchup shows a city starkly divided, with two candidates who each have support but also potential baggage.

“You have a significant chunk of the city that is sympathetic to Nicole Thomas-Kennedy and her abolitionist views,” Kaushik said. “You also have a huge chunk of people who find that prospect nonsensical and even terrifying.”

[Ann] Davison, an attorney and arbitrator, has spotlighted rising crime and homeless encampments. While supporting services and intervention for people struggling with addiction, she says the city should no longer ignore harmful criminal conduct and disorder.

This is Davison’s third consecutive run for elected office. She ran for Seattle City Council in 2019 and as a Republican for lieutenant governor in 2020, switching parties after declaring the Democratic Party had grown intolerant of dissenting views.

While the city attorney position is nonpartisan, Davison’s GOP affiliation is sure to be an issue for critics. Seattle has been hostile ground for Republicans for decades; only 8% of city voters backed President Donald Trump in 2020.

You know I thought the Republican for Cook County State's Attorney could've won last November and he didn't. Cook is a solidly Democrat county so perhaps it's no surprise that he lost and Kim Foxx is considered a bit soft as Cook's top prosecutor.

Who knows about Seattle as it's one of the more bluer areas of the country. I wonder if there is a constituency that wants law & order as opposed to "permissiveness"? It seems permissiveness has been gaining ground especially now.

Thomas-Kennedy, a first-time candidate, is a former public defender running as an abolitionist, saying she’d seek to halt most misdemeanor prosecutions. Explaining her views on her website, she said police and prisons don’t promote public safety, but do accomplish “what they were actually designed to do: control and disappear the poor, the disabled and BIPOC,” referring to Black, Indigenous and people of color.

Even in a solidly progressive city, Thomas-Kennedy is likely to have controversial past statements resurfaced during the general election campaign. Last summer, amid nationwide protests over police killings of Black people, she tweeted that “Property destruction is a moral imperative.” Holmes condemned that statement as “outrageous and inappropriate.”

Holmes is the outgoing city attorney who didn't quite make it past Thomas-Kennedy and Davison. And I misunderstood the role of Seattle City Attorney it's not necessarily a prosecution office as it is just an office to represent the city of Seattle. They don't deal in felony cases though they do deal in low-level offense misdemeanors. So this makes it an even more unusual election.

You have Republican who seems to have an issue with being soft on crime and more "progressive" opponent who wants to be much softer. She wants to abolish the criminal justice system as we know it. Seems like such a small prize to primarily defend the city in civil cases but then who knows in Seattle we might see whether the so-called abolitionist will win or the law and order candidate. Could a Republican gain ground in disgustingly liberal Seattle?

Tim Pool: He discusses what's coming

[VIDEO] He dropped something earlier in this roughly 25 mins video, if Hillary Clinton became the first woman POTUS the left would've come out and protest anyway. However, she didn't win and we had a far more flawed POTUS in Donald Trump so their "grievances" are magnified because the mainstream or fake news media doesn't like Trump. These activists are only using the race issue as a way to continue their so-called insurrection.

Unfortunately there are enablers in this. Pool has been saying for a while since I started following him that a Biden/Harris administration will not stand up against it. It's very likely they'll enable it as is already occurring right now in this nation.

He notes that BLM stormed a Trader Joe's in Seattle wanting to harass shoppers there. Then he mentions Yelp taking a stand against racism by informing users that they will flag a business that has any reported issue of racist activity. If you're a small business owner and you have a dissatisfied customer this is how they get you!

He mentioned Wauwatosa, Wisconsin there was some unrest there after the Milwaukee County District Attorney announced no charges against a Black police officer after he shot and killed a Black suspect - and let's be clear from what I've heard the Black suspect didn't cooperate again and this incident probably involved a weapon. They came to peoples homes up there disturbing folks at home breaking windows. This is what's happening in our nation now.

Someone has to stand against this!

Timcast: Liberals Are Waking Up, Bill Maher Hosts Panel ROASTING Far Left Cancel Culture

[VIDEO] Now I wish many Democrat elected officials in many of our blue states and urban areas recognize this. You can sympathize with the progressive liberal mobs aka the far left, however, once they have no use for you they'll turn around and cancel you. We're supposed to be in a free country with a great marketplace of ideas, however, if you can't connect with those ideas you don't like you want those ideas and the person espousing them cancelled. This doesn't make us free at all, unless that was never the point anyway.

Perhaps it starts with the celebs such as Bill Maher, what if these celebs could influence the Bill de Blasio's of the nation. Perhaps they could influence the Ted Wheelers or the Kate Browns or even Jenny Durkan (the Seattle city council is looking into abolishing that city's police department). I could go on and on but you get the point, these politicians from the local level all the way up to even Joe Biden who wants to be our next president needs to realize the far left will target you regardless of your sympathy.

Ami Horowitz inside CHAZ before Seattle finally dismantles it...

[VIDEO] Horowitz also called this the Confederacy of Dunces and referred to CHAZ aka CHOP (which has since been dismantled and the above video published last month) as a Lilliputian Utopia. It was funny when he comes up to some guy and asks him if the Seattle Seahawks should sign Colin Kapernick and he says give him a chance. Once the idea of him being the main QB over the current Seahawks starter the answer "Of course not!"

Finally we meet a member of the Seattle Chapter of the Black Panther Party he answered a surprising question about how he thought this"Occupational Protest" is going. I'm assuming without seeing much of his face - and yeah we are still in the middle of a pandemic right now - that he was from way back during the 1960s. Probably older and wiser than the young people who are part of this now former "Autonomous Zone".

I can only guess that unlike the people who protested and took over a part of a Seattle neighborhood initially in protest of George Floyd's death, he knows what's really going on. He knows that while they're upset and demand the abolishment of police departments and dismantling the criminal justice system of America, that these so-called activists aren't looking at the big picture.
