O'Reilly: How we lost Afghanistan

[VIDEO] I think this precipitous fall of a nation we've had military operations in for just about 20 years will be seen in history as a very significant American foreign policy event. Time will certainly tell - yeah some of you will probably say it already has - this will mark the so-called Build Back Better administration. And could lead to further foreign policy concerns throughout the world. To start we're already worried about the possible Chinese invasion of the "wayward" province of Taiwan.

Let me explain that Taiwan is technically the Republic of China. When the Chinese nation fought their own civil war the People's Republic of China - the Chinese Communists - they got control of mainland China. So basically the Chinese Communists fought a war against the Republic of China for control of the mainland. The Republic of China has largely control the island of Taiwan which the Chinese Communists regard as their territory.

Because America with their withdrawal from Afghanistan next month was really unable to stave off the advance of the Taliban, now there could be worries that America won't be able to adequately fulfill their commitments around the world. Expect turbulence seems like the right move as of now.

Meanwhile Bill O'Reilly discusses the Afghan situation with retired Colonel David Hunt.
