Plot to kidnap a sitting state governor...

[VIDEO] Michigan was the site of a number of protests against the restrictions in place for the coronavirus pandemic. There were dramatic footages of people walking around with assault weapons in and around state gov't buildings there. Thankfully this was before our tumultuous summer around the nation and nothing violent occurred.

I wish I can show you some things about the NFAC groups in Atlanta where they couldn't help but discharge their weapons accidentally and they only injured themselves as a result.

Anyway I could view this alleged crime against the Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer as nothing more than a very seditious act although no those individuals were actually acting against the authority of the State of Michigan who's authority they wished to overthrow. I'm curious what charges caused federal authorities to intervene with this.

I see this CBS article sadly it seems issues of white supremacy still got brought up in this and President Trump.
Mr. Trump responded on Twitter to Whitmer's remarks, writing in a thread that "my Justice Department and Federal Law Enforcement announced today that they foiled a dangerous plot against the Governor of Michigan. Rather than say thank you, she calls me a White Supremacist—while Biden and Democrats refuse to condemn Antifa, Anarchists, Looters and Mobs that burn down Democrat run cities." He also again called for Whitmer to reopen the state.

I tried to avoid any right wing sources looking at this, however, between BLM and antifa or any potential Proud Boys or Bougaloos (I haven't really seen much violent or criminal activity reported with them) I'd say anyone who engages in activities such as this are dangerous and they need to be in jail. Whatever these inviduals views on race or politics there's no difference with the rabid left who would turn on people who would otherwise be sympathetic but would overthrow them because they represent the system.
