This lets me know how glad I am to be out of school. This is one indication that we have a cultural war - I don't know why I'm calling it cultural instead of just culture - going on. Some of the professors or teachers have a notion and expect their classes to follow it or risk a bad grade. As far as going to a university that's not very valuable to developing critical thinkers, of course the purpose isn't to develop critical thinkers.
