This funeral home in Skokie operated by Chicago Jewish Funerals is said to be attempting to break the mold of funeral homes that usually seem to resemble mausoleums, however, there are more windows and with brighter colors here. At
Curbed Chicago it was suggested that this place could be used as a place for celebrations but I doubt that'll happen.
Since this place is a mortuary and a place to remember the dead it wouldn't be a place to celebrate say a birthday party. Death will always be a very depressing thing and celebrations shouldn't take place at a funeral home no matter how not depressing it looks!
