CapFax: Pritzker blocks pardoned Jan 6 rioters from state jobs

I saw a brief video about this via Chicago's ABC News affiliate and here's a link from Capitol Fax about this. The discussion is interesting.

I feel as if Gov. Pritzker is keeping January 6, 2021 alive. And that's unfortunate for a man I view as a basically good governor. He's the first to actually govern this state in decades even.

I do see in the comments at Capitol Fax that there is still some passion on this subject and the one thing noted is that a "pardon is an acknowledgement of guilt". However, following this somewhat in the wake of that unfortunate day - and it was unfortunate - is that many people who were charged had been railroaded.

One could allege that many of the people criminally charged in relation to January 6th was a case of political prosecution.

I may also look at this as if this was such a grievous issue for America, Donald J. Trump wouldn't have been elected the 47th President of the United States. Besides he too was charged in relation to this and he was even impeached as he was on his way out of office.

One could argue that anyone involved with the Capitol Riot in 2021 shouldn't be allowed to work for the people of Illinois, I could also argue that this unfortunate event isn't at the forefront of thought for voters. It wasn't on Election Day 2024.

I feel as if keeping this alive is detrimental.
