"Branch Covidians"

 

[VIDEO] Dave Morrison of Blue Collar Logic discusses the cult of quarantine. The title of this blog is taken from what he said in his latest video. It's taken from David Koresh's Branch Davidians which we know were a part of that fatal siege on their compound in Waco, Texas.

I suppose he could take this further consider the adherents of this cult of quarantine to the cults of racial justice. There are people out there who thinks the nation should be shut down indefinitely until this pandemic passes which isn't realistic. He mentions the debt this county is seeing due to the pandemic relief and there's probably could oto be more relief on the way.

As far as my responses, I've taken this as seriously as possible. Especially once the lockdowns started and I still take public transit to work everyday so I get leery when someone sits next to me. I guess everyone still hasn't taken seriously the idea of social distancing lately.

Either way I do think the response to this pandemic has gotten increasingly political. We got a serious public health issue and we're bogged down as far as how to treat it or even whether or not these lockdowns are effective or even if we should be wearing some form of face coverings.

What I do recognize at this point with all the mitigation efforts put into place, I think it'll be a while before life returns to normal. The non-essential jobs that we put on the shelf seemingly temporarily, are probably never coming back. We got ourselves a new normal regardless.
