I will forever respect the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights to the US Constitution . We have the right to say what we want to say within reason of course and of course it should never be abridged. Anyone who decided that we can't have our say don't believe in their own rights and their own ideas because they're unwilling to truly stand for them.

Also to copy and pasted from USConstitution.net:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
For the sake of thoroughness from the Illinois Constitution - Bill of Rights. I will only focus on freedom of speech. The other issues addressed in the federal first amendment is broken up essentially into three sections in Illinois' Bill of Rights.
SECTION 4. FREEDOM OF SPEECH

All persons may speak, write and publish freely, being responsible for the abuse of that liberty. In trials for libel, both civil and criminal, the truth, when published with good motives and for justifiable ends, shall be a sufficient defense.
Bear this in mind even as the country on either side politically seems at odds with this.
